Horrible experience at Samurai for lunch. I asked if the spicy tuna roll was GF, the server didn’t know so went to ask. She comes back and tells me “there’s no soy sauce in it.” And my mistake was assuming I was in the clear, because usually if a basic roll doesn’t have soy sauce, it’s safe. Nope, came out with tempura flakes in it. Then I had to explain that gluten isn’t just in soy sauce. They also brought low sodium soy sauce and said it was gluten free. They have no idea what gluten is and acted like it was an imposition to make me just basic tuna rolls to replace the gluten ones. Definitely won’t return.
