Great food & safe gf protocols & super kind staff- lots of options. owner is celiac - separate griddle for gf items & GF items are clearly marked on the menu & gf food has a special pick when it comes out.

Good food but I am questioning how celiac safe it is. I asked if they had a separate gluten free toaster and she said “no but we have gluten free toast” 🤨 the gf muffins looked delicious and huge.

Great gluten free muffins! Very knowledgeable. Many gf items on their menu. We went for breakfast and we’re told all of their desserts were gluten free, so we may go back later!!

Was so excited to take my celiac daughter here and all the good reviews! She ordered a burger with a gluten free bun and side of fruit and then got a delicious chocolate pie to go. Unfortunately she was sick and throwing up an hour after eating her hamburger. I’m not sure what happened but must have been cross contamination:( Unfortunately didn’t get to enjoy the delicious looking dessert!

I had their gluten free pancakes. They were fluffy and so delicious. I picked up a couple of gluten free muffins and a piece of gluten free key lime pie to enjoy during our stay in Sanibel. I would eat here again.

Good food - ate an egg and ham sandwich- gluten free bread, potatoes. If you can have dairy, the GF pancakes looked good.

Had the most delicious GF muffins. They are on top in the case.

Excellent, fresh food with celiac safe practices. The location is great if you are just arriving to the island because you can stop in and get food to go and not have to stress about finding a safe place. The GF pancakes were fantastic and I got a GF blackberry muffin to go. They keep the GF pastries separate on the top shelf of their case.

Such a good meal, great prices for quantity and quality. Most things can be made gluten free, even their breakfast wraps, pancakes and french toast. They have two shelves of pastries that are gluten free as well. There were four cakes and three muffins. I had the vegetable wrap and it was so well made with fresh ingredients.

I also have a milk intolerance as well as gluten. The staff was very knowledgeable and accommodating. The cook is very knowledgeable about celiac. Great breakfast options!

We love it here!! Food is delicious ..we’ve had breakfast and lunch several times. Only one of us has Coeliac and the extensive menu caterers for everyone in our family. Friendly service...we always tweak the order and nothing is too much for them. Delicious GF key lime pie, too. It’s our go to on Sanibel. So thankful to have Sanibel Fresh.

Thank you to the owner for creating this gem of an option for healthy food options that are also GF / celiac friendly!! I had the GF keylime pancakes, shared with the non-GF hubby, and we LOVED them!! Rich, fluffy delicious bites of food heaven! I also had a vegetarian wrap (Teff tortilla maybe?), and it was so flavorful and yummy. I cannot ever make The teff wraps work for me at home, but she has it figured out! The breakfast potatoes were perfect too. My hubby had a breakfast wrap (non-GF) and just kept 'mmm-ing' and smiling. He was also enjoying every bite. Everyone there seemed so happy with the food!!! I cannot say enough about this place, only that I wish they had a location in the Minneapolis area. We will be back, most definitely. Staff is very knowledgeable!! UPDATE: came back for lunch flirty Merry...AMAZINGLY DELISH, so creative!

Gluten free pancakes are yummy. Nitrate free bacon. Breakfast served Thru 11am. Yay! Ask them to clean grill before making your pancakes. It didn’t seem to be their standard practice

This place is awesome! The gluten free key lime pancakes are to die for!

Great selection of gluten free items on the menu. They have gluten free bread and buns, so most of their menu items can be made gluten free. We went for breakfast and they have a few types of gluten free pancakes. I really enjoyed the pumpkin pancakes. They also had some pastries and desserts. No separate gluten free area in the kitchen, but it sounds like they take in preparing the gluten free items. We plan to return a few more times before our vacation is over.
