Found this suggestion using the app while in town for show choir. They were super busy. I was elated when I told my Server I have celiac and I dint get the normal confused or off put look but she responded "me too". She assured me that they take every precautions and they've taken her experiences to incorporate changes in their processes and menu. They even serve gluten free food on colored plates to ensure its known. She also shared some of her favorite spots to go when she's out about. Celiac can be isolating but the moment of finding community and understanding was beautiful. The food was so good. I've missed waffles and this hit the spot. Highly recommend

Great food, i had the fajita chicken wrap and the turkey and bacon wrap. The menu options surprised me, as there were multiple things to choose from. The waitress reassured me about the precautions they take for celiac, i haven’t had any reaction yet and i usually know immediately

I went here while visiting Fort Wayne in July 2023. The staff was knowledgeable about celiac safety. I had the waffles with bacon which was very good and reasonably priced. My non GF sibling really liked the GF waffles too. I’ll definitely return next time I’m in town to try more options.

The waffle is amazing, service was excellent, prices are reasonable! They also serve excellent quality breakfast meats. No reaction whatsoever and am looking forward to visiting again!

A nice diner type restaurant. Friendly staff, my food came out quickly. A nice variety of gf selections from breakfast waffles, wraps, pasta and pizza. The breakfast wrap and waffle i had were super tasty. The prices are reasonable. They do have a dedicated area for preparation, but of course with any restaurant theres always a possibility of cross contamination but i was fine and im super sensitive

Love this place so much!! Everything gluten free is made separately. They have a gluten free menu and the staff is knowledgeable. They use separate plates to indicate gluten free. The waffles are delicious!

Sara’s is amazing. They have a bunch of gf options and dedicated kitchen space to limit the chance of cross contamination. They even serve the gf choices on completely different plates than they use for the gluten containing items! We go at least 3 times a month. I am super sensitive and have NEVER gotten sick. Service is always amazing

The first thing I noticed on their GF menu were choices!!!! When I did my customary run through of questions regarding separate prep spaces and glove/utensil changes, the server explained to me that they have another server with Celiac's that has worked there for 8 years. That's why they have such good practices in place and such a great menu. Peace of mind and happy taste buds (and GI tract)!

Celiac friendly?

First time I ate here I was very nauseous and bloated half way through the meal. I had eaten out the night before so I attributed the gluten symptoms to that. Ate here a second time, half way done my waffle and I’m already sick. They bring it out on a coloured plate to show gf which should mean it’s safe, but in my experience I would not recommend, even though the waffle is delicious. I’ve been unable to finish it either time. 🤢

They have waffles, wraps, pasta, salads, and fish options! I love the pasta and wraps! Wait staff is knowledgeable and I've never had a problem after eating here! Love the gluten free options!
