Great sandwich on the Mariposa GF bread.

So Many options and so delicious. It’s a Jewish centered restaurant that has Mariposa gf sandwich bread and bagels. The meat is mostly gluten free, but I would double check. They’re super friendly and always are happy to check with allergen issues! I’m not sure about their cross contamination process, but they have a wide variety gf options with most of the entrees, meats, and sides being gluten free

When I let the server know I had celiac disease and couldn't have gluten, he said I shouldn't eat there because there is gluten everywhere in the kitchen and nothing was safe. I didn't try the food.

Gluten free bread but no dedicated fryer meaning can’t have a lot of the good stuff on menu. Very small portions and big prices. Up charges for bread, pickles etc. overall unsatisfied.

Saul’s has become my favorite restaurant for comfort food. Their meat is marinated to perfection, and they have the best latkes. They can make any sandwich gluten free if you request it, and they even get their gluten free bread from Mariposa Baking Company in Oakland, some of the best. My one issue is that the online menu that you order off of has no place to put special requests or mark an allergy, so you have to call or flag down staff to ask them to make sure your food is handled safely. They are also dog friendly and have brought water out for my pup on multiple occasions.

A great gluten-free pastrami sandwich. Love the salads. Lots of other gluten-free options.

Read the review and thought it would be a safe Celiac experience. NOPE. Rude server seemed totally perplexed at the idea of separate toaster, told me it was impossible to toast/bake bagel, so when I requested it untoasted, she informed me it would be cold. My gluten eating friends had bad experiences too. Two big thumbs down.

Fantastic celiac-friendly experience. Servers explain what is safe and write your food allergies on your ticket. GF bagels and bread can be toasted without contamination. The food tastes great and portion size is good.
