Savelli's Italian Restaurant

A group of 8 of us made a reservation weeks in advance for a get-together. (Dining is by reservation only as there were only about 10 tables in the establishment.) My husband attempted to contact the restaurant to ask about their GF policies, but the call was repeatedly sent to voicemail. Upon being seated, we were greeted by our server who abruptly asked if we wanted anything other than water to drink, however we had not been provided with menus. When it came time to order, we received menus with entrees listed, but no pricing. Online their menu states, “GF pasta available upon request.” I asked our server about the pasta and she curtly stated that if I wanted GF pasta, that I should have called in advance. (See above statement regarding their voicemail.) After many questions, I ordered the grouper over sun-dried tomato risotto and vehemently stated NO BREAD. The server then asked if I could have flour on my grouper. When my food came out, there was bread. She did take it back without much of a fuss, but the rest of my party was nearly done eating by the time I received my meal. When we received the check, she refused to separate it and disappeared for over 20 minutes (in a now empty restaurant), leaving us to ask a busser for a way to receive an itemized receipt. The itemized receipt had no differentiation between dishes and were only labeled as “entree or dessert” and the attitude from staff persisted. 18% gratuity is included for groups over six people, but she likely missed out on additional compensation of our $400 bill due to her condescending and inconsiderate demeanor. Needless to say, skip it. Food is outrageously expensive for the service they provided. We will not be back.
