Went here excited for mussels marinara and told the waitress I had celiac and I got my mussels served over pasta .. to add, it wasn’t even good! It is expensive and totally not worth it

Terrible! We live in town and their GF options are the worst. I basically got a piece of fish that was charred with no flavor except being dry and burnt with a side salad. Very disappointed since it was expensive and they really should be able to flavor or marinate without gluten and also cook a nice piece of fish without ruining it. Will not go back, plenty of other wonderful GF restaurants in town with dedicated GF menus and food that tastes great

Good portion sizes and service. Not many gluten free options and all I could taste was charcoal with my tuna.

Scales is one of the best places in Newport for gluten free options. Since it is all seafood there are numerous options! I was happy to see that they go threw the effort to make sure that my meal was prepared correctly. They have gluten free beer as well as vodka! All their fish is so fresh! You can't go wrong! I told my server that I had a gluten free allergy and she was more than accommodating! I HIGHLY recommend Scales with anyone with allergies! You won't be disappointed!
