I ordered the Turkey Bacon Club without cheese on a gluten free bun. It's what I order at every Schlotzsky's all across Texas. I have never had a reaction. Ask them to change gloves when preparing your sandwich.
They use Udi's gluten free buns, so check ingredients on Udi's website.

I called the Mt. Pleasant store to ask if the GF bread had eggs in it. (I also have an egg allergy.) The guy who answered said, “I have no idea.” I waited for him to say something else, but he didn’t. I said, “Are you able to check?” He wasn’t willing. So, it’s obvious they don’t want to serve people with food allergies.
Like Scholtzsky's in Gilmer (and maybe all of them now?) they have Gluten Free bread and pizza crust. I thought it was important to add this because some of the other GF options in Mt Pleasant have limited hours. I have never spoken to any management about how they handle GF requests. I've been here a few times and sometimes the employees know and sometimes they don't. The last time I ordered I heard someone in the back sigh loudly when the order was put through for GF. To that I would say - people who have to eat GF don't like that workers have to do extra things for them, at least, I don't. (In most cases we actually pay more for you doing more on top of that, so you are being financially compensated for it.) I would guess most just want to be like everyone else. Unfortunately, we don't have that option and it sucks. I will usually not order GF if I see a place is extra busy and try to avoid busy times. Look at it this way - if you saw an elderly or handicapped person who had trouble walking and you held the door open for them - doesn't that make you feel good? Think of the people dealing with Celiac in that way as well. You are able to provide a unique service for people who have few options. Help them out and you will also feel good about yourself in the process. It's a win-win situation.

They served me regular garlic bread when I asked for gf. They also gave my bf a gf bun when he asked for regular. I get sick here every time. They don’t seem to care about customers. Always rude or a long wait or just mess up the order.

Very good GF bread. When receiving the sandwich, they always have the GF one wrapped in an extra layer of paper. This makes me feel safer with eating out here. Always fresh and yummy! Sometimes nervous with contamination though

Ordered a Turkey sandwich on gluten free bread for delivery. Delivery was timely. The sandwich was overflowing with meat and the bread was delicious. There is a warning when ordering that there may be cross contamination.
