How could it be so different?
On Palm Sunday in April my family and I dined at Schnitzelplatz and had a perfect, yes perfect, gluten free German meal. Wait staff was wonderful. Sauerbraten was exactly as it should taste, German salad was fresh. We all loved our meals. Was so impressed! Then I returned yesterday and had a horrible experience with a server, the worst Sauerbraten ever …meat was fine but sauce was NOT a sauerbraten sauce to match the meat, I scraped it off, ate some of my meal but it was NOT the same delicious dinner we had 2 months prior. Even the side dishes were subpar. I got glutened and was really sick today! All the care and good food of our first visit was gone! So, not sure what to advise! Was it a different cook? A wacky waitress? New owners? No consistency except this off story they tell you before they let you order sauerbraten about how some people don’t like their version. Ok, I loved it the first time. I am German. I lived and worked in Germany.
