When we arrived we asked about GF options, we were told they had GF bread. I asked about bacon, meat, condiments & the gentleman told me " all meat is GF everywhere", oh... Stupid me. 😕 I spoke w/ manager who told us we should probably eat elsewhere if we were concerned w/ gluten being in meat & condiments. Also, they had no GF baked goods. Huge disappointment!

They were out of some of the gluten free baked items and the ones left were a couple of days old because their baker had been on vacation. We tried the breakfast bowl and it wasn’t very good for being so simple. Was really looking forward to this place and was extremely disappointed especially for the price...2 breakfasts and 3 lattes...$45

I’m gluten sensitive and my son is celiac and we both ate here with no problem! Staff was very helpful in choosing the best dishes for us! Highly recommend!

Gluten Free Items are marked on the menu. We ate lunch there. My son ordered a Grilled cheese on gluten free bread. The sandwich was cold, cheese wasn't melted. It was just two slices of GF bread and a slice of cheese.
Had several gluten free bakery options and all their sandwiches can be made with their homemade gluten free bread! They cook the gf paninis on the grill wrapped in foil to help reduce contamination. The gf banana bread was delicious!!

Loved the GF baked goods (Nutella bread and a CC cookie). Breakfast bowl was delicious as well

The owners wife is celiac! He came out and spoke to me about the food and made sure I was totally comfortable eating there!! Delicious food. Get the chocolate cupcake it’s to die for.

They always take care of me! They foil wrap gf sandwiches for the panini grill. I've eaten here several times and never been sick. The coffee is delicious!

Coffee is fantastic! Music is great!! Food is wonderful!! So many gluten free options. Everyone is so nice! Only negative is food does take a bit to come. But we are on vacation so no worries.

Staff understood my needs once I explained cross-contamination. Gluten free panini was yummy and didn’t make me sick!

They bake all of their GF menu items in house, including their bread. Made me a GF breakfast panini and it was awesome! Super friendly staff and an adorable, quaint shop. Get the Nutella bars!!!
Good options, and the staff is responsive to my GF needs! I have been pleased with the quality of the GF bread! I eat here often as I am currently working in Seward for the summer!
Make sure you have time to wait because sometimes it takes a bit to get your food.

My boyfriend and I stopped in before a fishing trip to get breakfast sandwiches. I kid you not, it took them 60 minutes to make two breakfast paninis. We had to scarf our food down in 5 minutes to make it on time for our trip. We both fell terribly ill before even arriving at the boat. I have celiac, but my bf does not. We chalked it up to bad quality/unhealthy ingredients and possibly having to eat so fast. There were only a handful of other people in the establishment, none of which ordered food. I have no idea why it took the woman 60 minutes to make two simple sandwiches. I refuse to go back after that experience. I'm not sure the employees totally understand gluten-free or cross-contamination either.

I went there for the gf and df baked goods in the morning and they were great. I returned in the afternoon for a sandwich because a different restaurant, that had great reviews, did not feel safe at all. First the cashier could not give me any information on the black bean burgers ingredients, or if it was made in house or frozen. After she decided it was made in house I decided to try it, at this point I had biked for several hours and was very hungry and had just watched my family eat at another restaurant. I was sure to say gluten free bread several times as the cashier seemed less than competent. I was thrilled with the black bean burger and the amazing bread, until I barely escaped being sick in my tent a few hours later. I am a celiac and now, 6 days later, am still suffering. if you choose gf and df for dietary and not health reasons the Sea Bean has good options, I would not recommend them to anyone who suffers from celiac or any other gluten related health concerns. I private messaged them on Facebook, they clearly viewed my message (Facebook shows that it was seen) and offered no response whatsoever. To someone who is dealing with the aftermath of essentially a poisoning, that is the most heartbreaking part. No one wants to be that person, who can't eat anywhere, has to watch their family eat and be a burden on the camping trip that has to be cut short, but to not even be offered an apology is truly inexcusable.

I'm gluten sensitive and ate here 4 times during my week in Seward, 2 breakfasts and 2 sandwiches. I appreciated having several tasty options. The gluten-free bread, while pricy at 2.50, made me happy because it was grilled like a panini and held together well. I enjoyed the coffeehouse atmosphere.
Uhm, we went into the restaurant inquiring about their claim to gluten free. They told us they had gluten free sandwiches. When I asked what meats, and sauces were gluten free they repeated, "We have gluten free bread so all the sandwiches are gluten free." The manager came out, and when it was suggested that gluten can be found in meats and other products, she said if we had an allergy we probably shouldn't eat there. So we didn't.
Sea Bean offers gluten-free sandwiches but is very over-priced. The gluten-free bun is $2.50. It is made on-site and very tasty though. The sandwiches are small and don't come with any sides. It was nice that they had 2 gluten-free desert options.

I ordered a BLT sandwich in the sandwich was just enough food to make me want to have a BLT sandwich. My order took approximately 25 minutes.
Nice little place. Accommodating to picky sorts like myself - they gave me a grilled cheese sandwich in gf bread. Soup that day was also gf. Point withdrawn because they didn't have coke - although that's a minor complaint. Topkek. Would kek again!
Amazing food, no reactions, and my picky husband liked the regular sandwiches. Very accommodating of both our gluten and dairy allergies.
