Best gf waffles I’ve ever had! We got the churro and blueberry lemon. Both were AMAZING! They don’t even taste gluten free!

I came for breakfast on a Tuesday. There was little wait. I had the peanut butter banana waffle, which was delicious. The waffle was crispy on the outside and soft inside. I couldn’t tell much about the waffles flavor because of the toppings. I told the cashier I had a gluten allergy and I saw the man preparing my waffle wiping down surfaces and changing utensils.

(I went back two more times and tried the lemon curd and blueberry waffle which was amazing too!)

Everytime we vacation in the area, we have to come to Second State. Our son has Celiac disease and he loves the waffles. The rest of the family also enjoys them. I really wish I knew the recipe so I could recreate them at home. We highly recommend them to everyone but a definite must for those with celiac.

Very quaint coffee shop atmosphere— not a lot of seating, so if they’re busy you may have to wait for a table or take it to go. I had the peanut butter banana waffle and an iced dirty chai latte with almond milk. Chai was just ok 5/10. Waffle was a little on the dry side, but not bad 6/10. The hot caramel latte with almond milk on the other hand— beautiful and delicious 8.9/10 would definitely come back for the coffee if not the waffles. The barista who helped me asked right away if I was celiac and in the same breath immediately offered to clean off the counter, change gloves, take extra precautions etc. made me feel safe.

I was so excited that all the waffles are gluten free! I informed them I had celiac and they offered to clean the counter/work space to ensure that everything was safe. I ate here twice and had no problems. Would highly recommend!

All the waffles are gluten free! They were delicious! We tried the banana peanut butter and the lox & cucumber. Both were fantastic and there was a large array of other flavors I would love to come back and try. Highly recommend.

Soooo, I came here to review the corn breakfast tacos which were delicious but found out in the reviews that they offer gf waffles. Well, wth? I asked the barista before I ordered if they had gf bread and she said no. Didn’t offer that they have gf waffles. Just went to clarify and apparently they only offer them at “the other store.” So … be careful which store you choose. They may not have as many gf options. The tacos were good but if given the choice, I would’ve chosen waffles.

I ended up getting a prosciutto greens waffle which was delicious. I let the barista know about my gluten allergy beforehand and ensured me they’ll clean the counter space before making the waffle.

Used to be called Broom Wagon, but is now Second State Coffee. Luckily, they kept the gluten free waffles! All the waffles are gluten free (made with a yogurt base I think she told me) so you don’t have to worry about cross contamination on the waffle iron! I’ve tried a number of the sweet options and they are all delicious!

We are in town for the weekend and found this place on this app. We were not disappointed. It’s a cute little place with great coffee and large waffles. I ordered the peanut butter and banana waffle and a latte with sweet potato pie syrup (they make this syrup there, not sure if that’s true for all of the flavors).

Really great coffee and fun waffle combos. I had a salted caramel latte and a blueberry lemon waffle. Also ordered the prosciutto waffle, and banana peanut butter waffle. Crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. It’s been a while since I’ve had a GF waffle that gets crunchy on the outside.
