Sexy Pizza

Dropped by here mostly to order my non-celiac kids something to eat while we were playing on the playground just outside the restaurant. I was getting hungry too, though, so when I saw they had guten free pizza, I thought I would check if I could have something. Person helping me tried to be helpful, which I really appreciated. They were upfront with me that the gluten free pizza is not Celiac Safe, as "there is flour everywhere" in the small kitchen. After verifying that they could prepare me a salad in an area of the kitchen where flour would not be a concern, I ordered a salad. The dressings were housemade so I asked what ingredients the balsamic vinegrette contained. They brought out a binder of recipes and looked in it, but then someone (a manager?) walked by and said, "the dressings are proprietary recipes." The person helping me was like "does it have any flour in it?" to which the other guy responded, "no." And then I was like, "gluten can be hidden in a few things, actually," and asked some follow-up questions. But this guy who had walked by and was now answering my questions was rather dismissive, and though I decided the dressing was probably safe, I did not feel 100% confident. I did end up glutened that day, but full disclosure that I am traveling with family and was just as likely glutened at another place, as I have limited control over our stops and am just making the best of the options I have.
