Only option is a Gluten-free Bun for the burger. Even though fries are supposed to be gluten-free, they strongly disencourage us getting them. Honest, but too few options.

Some locations carry (delicious) gluten-free buns now. The UES and battery park city locations carry them. Still no dedicated fryer though.
No dedicated fryer, no gluten free bun. Food was good otherwise. I would not call it gluten free friendly because besides the burger, there were no other sides to substitute for fries. Also, during the lunch crowd, there is no seating at all, and no outdoor seating offered.
No
Most Shake Shack locations offer gluten-free buns for burgers. A lettuce wrap is also an option.
They no longer use a dedicated fryer. They are aware of gluten allergies and very proactive about making sure customers stay safe, but told me that although the fries are "supposed" to be gluten free, they share a fryer with wheat ingredients. Very frustrating, since I came here especially for fries. Otherwise, a good experience. I bring my own bun and have no issues with the burgers or shakes. Food is always top-notch!
No GF buns.
Yes
Shake Shack has a gluten free bun, their burger is good for fast food. This location did not bring my gluten free burger n bun separately on a different tray as to avoid cross contamination. Other locations I have visited have put my burger on a separate tray or bag to prevent cross contamination. I did advise person taking my order that I need to be gluten free. Ask them to put celiac/allergy into the order when placed. Burger was good but concerned about possible contamination.

I ordered a gluten free burger (shake burger). It was pretty good and the staff understood what to do for allergies.
