Shakou Restaurants

My experience was excellent. This spot labels their menu with a symbol showing gluten free options. You have to of course let the server know how serious it is for you. It's a beautiful, larger restaurant with plenty of seating. Loudish music. Full bar inside the restaurant. They had several options for sushi, a couple appetizers and their miso soup is gluten free. They do have a vast menu that is NOT gluten free if you dine with others who aren't celiac. I would say their Philly roll is the best I've ever had, no lie! They had spicy salmon, scallop, and tuna options. Often times I've found even if sushi is gluten free the spicy mayo on the spicy fish is usually not gluten free. Here it is. 🥳 it was my birthday and they have sorbet there that is gluten free and put a candle in it for me! Yum!

Gluten Free menu and the chef came out to make sure he understood my allergies (I have soy too) and adjusted meal to meet my needs. Excellent
