Agadeshi tofu. Sashimi. Sushi. And the star of the show, that soba. Everything is perfection.

I only wish there was one closer to me. Please open a store in the inner West!

Amazing food and variety. (They offer non gluten free drinks but all the food is gluten free. I am super sensitive celiac so I didn’t use the glasses as a maybe not needed precaution. I didn’t have any problems.)

Great food. The veggie tempura was spot on, and the spicy beef soba was a treat. Atmosphere is a little odd, has qr code ordering and menus.

I’ve eaten here twice in two days. Once for soba, and one for a hand roll. Delicious food, and since it was all gf, felt very safe. Was wonderful getting to have tempura safely!

Everything was amazing. We got hot green tea, miso soup and the vegan tempura soba. Loved the miso soup. The hot tea is actually genmaicha (green tea with roasted rice). It was a lovely surprise.

Entire kitchen is GF! Music to my ears. I've tried so many times to eat sushi and it's generally ended badly (for me). Enter this spot! Beautiful menu full of GF options included tempura veggies, karaage chicken, soba noodles, and rice dishes. Definitely recommend if you're missing Japanese food! Lots of vegan options too.

Absolutely love this place. Can order everything off the menu with GF beer. The food is excellent and we keep coming back without hesitation. One of our favourite restaurants. Take away as well.

Reading the other reviews I was looking forward to trying this place. The soba noodles were delicious. Wait staff service was a little lukewarm but no adverse reactions so was very relieved!

Fantastic, quality Japanese restaurant. Being entirely Gluten Free, it is safe for Coeliacs. The soba noodles are made from 100% Buckwheat, grown in Tasmania. The Buckwheat is milled each day, at the restaurant, to make the soba noodles so they are super fresh and tasty. Please note there are 2 other Shimbashi restaurants owned by the same people in Melbourne but they are not totally Gluten Free. Go to the one in Smith Street, Fitzroy.

This place has a totally gluten free menu. Their house made soba noodles are 100% gluten free and the menu actually states that everything on the menu is gluten free. I have eaten here three times now and it is my fave gluten free place! You can eat tempura, ramen and basically all the things you might be wanting at other Japanese places but couldn’t, plus this place is delicious! I loved their sister store in the city before I was diagnosed and used to go there all the time for their soba noodles! Was genuinely over the moon when I found out about this place.
