Loved the lobster roll on a gluten free bun. Thought it was the best I had in the area. Big chunks of lobster not chopped up like some other places and the clam chowder was great too.

Very busy on a Saturday lunchtime. Had a burger and fries and they were excellent. Gluten reduced can of beer was the only beer on offer. Quite expensive. Just short of 100 usd for two of us.

Did not take celiac seriously. Asked for a side of hummus gluten free and specified that this would entail bringing the pita bread on a separate plate from the vegetables. They then brought pita bread on top of the vegetables, when I asked for them to bring them separately they clearly just took the pita bread off the plate because there were still crumbs on the vegetables. It took 3 tries for them to take my allergy seriously and when I told the waiter that we had issues with the order he was not very receptive. Do not go here if you have celiac.

I ordered sweet potato fries, the lost lobster, and the flourless chocolate mousse cake. My server was very friendly and told the people in the kitchen about my allergy. The food came out with the little “allergy” toothpick flags. The chocolate mousse did not but I asked and was reassured it was safe

Yikes. Tried to serve my daughter gluten mac and cheese and argued with me when I questioned. I was told they have GF oenne, but this was shells (with and allergy pick). Turns out the shells were NOT GF. Other food ordered was not even lukewarm and terrible. I was so excited to try this place, but never again.

We stopped here so that our Celiac girls could try a lobster roll. The waiter answered all our questions and said they can sub things out or make many things gf. Unfortunately, the kids did not like the lobster, so they ended up with a a cheese burger and gf Mac&cheese. They both said their meals were delicious. No one was sick after, so I'd call it a Win!

Ate here twice in the last 3 days. Both visits were amazing! They truly go out of their way to make all guests, especially those with allergies feel comfortable. Our first waitress told us, the owners designed the restaurant to easily cater to those with celiac disease, and they take it very seriously. They have gluten free rolls, pasta and taco shells. All items on their menu noted with an asterisk can be made gluten free with a minor adjustment, and they didn’t hesitate to accommodate something that wasn’t on the menu. Highly recommend, I have celiac and am very sensitive to cross, no problems whatsoever. We will definitely visit again!

We go to Bar Harbor every year and I always get food from here. The menu has changed some over the years but they continue to be diligent about food allergies. They have a lot of gluten free options and a designated fryer! It’s super easy to order online if you’re getting takeout (with allergy designation options). I’ve eaten here many times and never gotten sick. One of my favorite places to eat!!

Side street cafe was a nice find after a long day hiking in Acadia. My husband was able to get a gluten-free lobster roll and was so happy. Only complaint is that it was expensive for bar food with gluten free bread. Still good, and would definitely go back just to have reliable gluten-free options.

I ordered the lost lobster. I was surprised it was not a whole lobster - just the meat. It came with mashed potatoes, veggies, and gf Mac and cheese (subbed for the corn pudding it usually comes with). Loved the Mac and cheese but I actually didn’t really love the lobster (maybe because it wasn’t fresh from a steamed lobster?) but I also tried clam chowder, fries, and beef tip frites - all delicious. Didn’t get to try the dessert but there was a flourless chocolate cake.

Happen to be in Bar Harbor and looking for a lobster roll? Look no further and get the perfect gluten free lobster roll with the best tasting GF bun of it's kind that I've ever tasted.

The lobster stew was creamy and wonderful as well. Sadly the clam chowder was not GF, but there are other places in the area to get a great cup of it.

Cannot say enough great things about this place. There was a wait, as it was the middle of summer, of course, but once inside super fast service. Much of the menu is or can be made gluten free (marked on the menu with an asterisk). My kiddo had a gluten free Mac n cheese. We all enjoyed our meals (both non-GF and GF). The flourless brownie was amazing! I imagine we’ll be back on this visit.
