Only one variety per day, bit very high quality donut. Used separate serving

Their most popular donut is"gluten free" but is so contaminated by the not so dedicated kitchen. My husband tried it and said it was the best donut he ever had. I just watched him eat it. If they only took the correct precautions everyone could enjoy.

I am only gluten intolerant to eating a gf donut in contaminated environment doesn’t bother me. And these donuts are incredible. I love the huckleberry and I love the double chocolate. But all are good. $5.5 each is a lot but a real treat.

Fonuts in LA has amazing Donuts, pricey but well worth it and has take home kits as well
I worked here and they do not have any deducted equipment for Gluten free, the frosting, oil, and equipment is all shared, and the gluten free donuts are also dusted in regular flour. Almost None of the other employees tell the customers or they lie and say it’s safe. Honestly for $4-$7 donuts the donuts aren’t even good, meh at best. The drinks are p bomb tho.

Absolutely not Celiac friendly. Cross-contamination GUARANTEED. I thought I’d risk it and got so sick… I wish I could trust it but this does NOT have gluten free options, just a “gluten conscious” option or whatever BS term they’re using to lure gluten free bandwagoners…

Only had 2 gf flavors, but they were delicious! One of the gf is vegan. There is always a line. They are very fresh!! Worth the wait.

Sidecar has delicious donuts, but they don’t have any process to avoid cross contamination and there donuts are DEFINITELY contaminated. I’ve been sick from the GF ones. They are also very unsupportive of celiac sensitives and basically respond “who cares” when the issue was brought up to them. Their GF donuts are not safe for celiacs- at all.

Love love love!!! Everytime i go is a new different freshly made flavor. Can’t tell its GF and vegan friendly soo moist ❤👍🏼
Sidecar’s donuts are simply amazing but even their gluten-friendly donuts are not safe for Celiacs. Nima sensor found gluten in them.

Same rack; same fryer. Donut looked delicious but not safe. If only they took some precautions, it would be amazing.
No
Donuts are fried in same frier as the regular donuts, utensils are used universally and items all placed in same box.

Not certified GF- shared kitchen space. Ingredients not yet posted. Every single flavor I’ve eaten has been wonderful! Huckleberry, Samoa, Butter & Salt, Love, Birthday Cake, Double Chocolate, and most recently Pina Colada 🤤

Warning: This place is NOT Celiac Safe!!! At least not as of a few months ago. This may be fine for those with an intolerance, but they fry the "gluten-free" donuts in a shared fryer with the rest of the regular donuts. That's a big danger for those of us with Celiac. I am glad that the employees were upfront and honest about that, though.

My sister who is gluten intolerant tried the gluten free donut and loved it! They fry their GF donuts in the same oil as the regular donuts, so I couldn’t have it. Not celiac friendly

So glad we tried this place out! Such great donuts! They have a new GF donut flavor every week. I had a birthday cake donut which was fantastic. Can’t wait to go back and try the other flavors. Staff is very helpful and cautious with the GF. Definitely worth the wait.
I've only gone once. They only offer one GF option on their menu. I had the Old Fashion, but I was grateful because it was so good. However, I did not ask if they prepare, handle & bake the GF dough separate from the gluten batches.
I'm a celiac and eat the gf donuts here every few weeks- I've never felt sick and the donuts are amazing!
Delicious, but not celiac safe (the only reason I gave it lower stars)

This was the best damn donut I've ever put in my mouth - gf or not. Slightly warm and amazing. Granted I have had a donut in almost three years, but this was worth the wait!
I thought the doughnut was fantastic! The price was a little high for my taste, but I would go again when visiting Costa Mesa.
Not Celiac friendly. Offer 1 gluten free donut each week, you cans find the flavor of the week on their website. Had the banana walnut and it was sooo good! Will definitely be bad to try the other flavors!

Don’t let “gluten friendly” misguide you. These donuts are technically gluten free but they are prepared on the same workspaces and fried in the same fryers as the regular donuts, so cross contamination is an inevitability.

Doughnuts are good but not gf. They call it gluten-friendly since they share mixers, cooking baths, surfaces, etc.

This was not good at all for people who are heavily allergic. They had something called “gluten friendly” which essentially means there is no gluten, but is heavily cross contaminated because it is fried in the same oil as other doughnuts. The people were very upfront about this, and did not try to sugarcoat it, but “gluten friendly” feels almost useless for the majority of people who are severely allergic. It is nice that they tried and I would recommend this for people who are not intensely allergic, or for people who are vegan because they have great vegan options. I did end up ordering a chocolate milk, which was not bad, although aside from knowing that the doughnuts were in fact cross contaminated, the servers did not know much else concerning the gluten present in what they serve.

Not for people with celiac or even sensitivity. Major cross contamination. Employees aren’t knowledgeable about allergies and flat out don’t care. Icing on regular donuts is used for gluten free ones. Flour filled gloves are used to move gluten free donuts.

Sold out of GF doughnuts and ran out of ice.
