Normally really good with gluten free advising. I went for dinner and the waitress assured me that she has spoken to the chef and all was set with my order (we went back and forth between the kitchen to clarify cross contamination issues). The sous chef has celiacs and had made me feel very secure with eating there via her communication with the waitress. Half way through eating my soup, she yanked it out of my hand and said “actually that has bread in it!” And when I asked for clarification, she kept smiling and saying “ya... it’s on a little bit though. Chef forgot.” No follow up from her and she didn’t even offer further help or clarification. Got management involved and he apologized and comp’ed our meal. I got violently ill, so it was a real contamination, which sucks no matter how you cut it.
