Clarified GF protocols about cooking and was told the grill is cleaned, etc. Ordered grilled cheese and made sure to state it's an allergy and waitress wrote it down. Got my food, took one bite, and knew it was sourdough bread and not GF. Checked and kitchen asked the waitress if it was supposed to be GF bread and she didn't reply so they cooked it with regular bread despite the order being marked gluten allergy. If you're Celiac I wouldn't eat hear or ask for a manager to order. Management was very apologetic and gave me a coupon for a free entree next visit, which I clearly won't be using.

the food was so good!! I had a quinoa pancake and the manager came out to give me my food and changed gloves and everything when I told him I had a severe gluten allergy. Highly recommended with tons of options for us celiacs!

The quality of food & service has gone downhill. We go to this diner every time we're in the area. This time the servers acted like they didn't have a clue. The food just wasn't as good this time. Yes they had some gluten free options but it wasn't very good. I was disappointed.

Our waiter was knowledgeable about basic gf but for the tougher questions he was willing and did ask his manager any questions we had. We had the warm roasted local veggie salad and the philly steak omelet. Both were great. We also tried the brownie decadence dessert which was amazing!! The brownie had a nice flavor and texture and was loaded with ice cream, whipped cream, hot fudge, caramel, and two cherries on top. The only reason I didn’t give this 5 stars was the menu was a bit confusing. Some things were labeled gf, some things stated ‘do this —— to make it gf’, but some things, like basic fruit, weren’t labeled at all while other basic things were. Most of our questions stemmed from not understanding the menu labeling and whether or not things were gf. Our waiter was able to clarify our questions but it shouldn’t be that difficult. Overall we were very satisfied with our food and my boyfriend didn’t get sick so win-win!

This is my go-to spot for safe burgers & breakfasts! When I was first diagnosed with celiac, I would go to a variety of places and order gf food, but would then get sick. I've always felt good after eating here. They use udis bread/buns and the mashed potatoes are the alternative to fries.

I've been to Silver Diner a number of times over the course of the past few years and they have never given me a bad meal, the food is good and they have had a gluten free menu for a few years now. The atmosphere is always good and the service has never been a problem. I always eat the fries although they insist there is a risk of cross contamination, never an issue tho. I recommend the bison burger, cheese fries, and chilli. They offer a specifically gluten free part of the menu but I've only have the ultimate waffle which was so-so at best in my opinion

tl;dr - will go again. good atmosphere. eat a burger. the fries are dicey but good

They said they would substitute UDIs and make French toast and clean the grill prior to making it and that they had a designated GF toaster. When they brought out the FRench Toast it was clear to me it was not GF bread. It was much larger than the toast (which was the usual UDIs). They insisted it was but I was afraid to risk it. They did take it off the bill which I thought was nice.

We came on a busy Sunday morning for brunch. With the line going outside the door, we only waited 15 min to be seated. Our Waiter "Biscuit Boy" was fabulous. His knowledge of the menu and how to accommodate gluten free was great. They have Udi's bread and buns. I was told that I could make anything that had bread and just substitute. I had gf French toast from the regular menu. My the waiter even asked if I was gluten sensitive or had celiac. He then wrote celiac on the order. We will definitely return

The food is great here but a true Celiac would need to beware. No separate kitchens. Food is prepared and contamination occurs.

The food is ok and I didn't get sick so that's a plus. Unfortunately, the service is atrocious. A bottomless beverage means one cup of coffee or one glass of soda unless you are willing to get up and hunt somebody down in order to get a refill. We have been here twice, the first time was in Dec 2015, the second in April 2016, and both times we have had to ask someone to wait on us. We won't be back and I would advise going here only as a last resort.

They will cook good in its own pan if you ask. They made me the quinoa pancakes during their super busy Sunday breakfast in their own pan. I have celiac and have eaten here several times with no issues. Sometimes the servers don't know, but if you talk to a manager they'll always help.

I came here thanks to the reviews on this app. I got the power breakfast with (what I hope was!!!) GF toast. She verified that they have a separate toaster for the bread. But the bread stayed together so well, I'm just waiting for a reaction LOL! The power breakfast comes with sausage patties that are marked as GF. All in all, delicious!

I had a burger with fries. As you all know everyone’s allergies are different. The manager did note that there was a chance of cross contamination with the fries. Which is a standard warning everywhere. I’m usually able to eat fries at all of the fast food restaurants, never had a problem. However, I had a severe allergic reaction from their food. I’m guessing it was the fries. So, if you’re like me and you like a burger with your FRIES (for me the fries are the best part), you’ll want to skip this place. Also, the gluten free bun is tough and has a weird texture. On a positive note, the staff were all very friendly. I had great service.
