Skinny Mike's Ice Cream & Shave Ice

Delicious ice cream - highly recommend the macadamia nut ice cream. However, I did not feel safe or that the staff was knowledgeable about gluten, and I did have a slight skin reaction afterward. I asked if there was any malt in their ice creams, and they made a phone call to find out for me, which was really generous, and came back and said no, but I still feel I should not have had the sea salt caramel ice cream. I think that is what I reacted to, and that is an ice cream that typically has some sort of gluten. Delicious, just eat at your own risk.

Read previous reviews and felt good walking into the shop. Two boys with Celiac and we ask about gf ice cream and the lady gave the not sure look. She said the non brownie and cookie ice cream were ok. My son asked for plain chocolate from a new container and a second lady said we can’t do that. We sadly already ordered for us non Celiac and paid for ice cream and my two sons didn’t get any. Honestly I got the cookies and cream ( not Celiac) and it was the most tasteless ice cream I’ve ever had and not worth the calories. I’m sure others have had better experiences but lack of knowledge and too much cc risk.

Not super knowledgeable on what was GF but happy to check ingredient lists. The ice cream is delicious and the staff were very helpful&friendly.

Celiac friendly. My daughter also loved the vegan chocolate ice cream. Huge portions if you order shaved ice... best to order 1 for the family and a few extra cups with ice cream in the bottom of the cup to share the ice. Yum!
