Slate street is a very cute restaurant off of Lomas Blvd. Their shared fryers eliminate many options for celiacs, including many sandwich’s which have items in it that are fried (they do have gf bread). Though they do have some options for us and my waitress made sure to let the kitchen know that I’m a celiac. I got the tasty green Chile egg (omelette) and ham. Very sad that their chiles aren’t gluten free, made it work with chopped green. Good mimosas.

They have GF items identified of menu but there is cross contamination! All things are fried together so not really GF if you are Celiac. But when asked they did tell me it was fried together. Wine tasting are great and I ate a salad with no issues.

Ordered gluten free but was ill within hours

Well marked menu with gluten free options, an extensive and varied wine list too! Food was great and they stock Omission gluten free lager.
The food here was very good but the day we went the service wasn't as good. They have several things they can modify but they don't have a dedicated fryer so no chips or fries which limits the selection. My boys had grilled cheese which was great but after I told the waiter about us being celiac he brought out regular bread cheese sandwiches. I was glad I caught it! Our food had taken awhile so it was frustrating to send it back and wait some more. However, as I said the food was really good once everyone got it. I got a spinach and balsamic fruit salad and had them add salmon. It was great! Once we got their grilled cheese out they were really good too and they got fruit instead of fries and it was a really nice fruit dish with a good variety. I was disappointed there weren't more options and the prices were a bit high for the grilled cheese but it was very good.
menu misleading for celiac some GF is not quite. but when ask ed waiter and kitchen were good
Squash and cheese enchiladas- delicious! Menu is marked to indicate which dishes are gluten-free or can be made so. My dish was also vegetarian, and the menu indicates these options as well.

Wonderful and friendly. Tucked back off the beaten path. Wait staff were very friendly. Gluten free and vegetarian items on the menu are clearly marked, and they are very knowledgeable about GF prep.
I had the Penne Macaroni and Cheese with green chile..it was decadent and amazing..my non GF family said they wished the would have ordered it although theirs was equally delicious. Highly recommend.

Had an amazing meal and great service- about half the items on the menu are either marked 'GF' or 'can be GF' so there's plenty to choose from. Waiter made a special note about me being celiac to the chef and I had no problems, even as super sensitive as I am to gluten! Will definitely be going back.
