Such s disappointing time at Slater’s last night, and so different than the first time I went. Went there last night for my birthday, and brought my folks who had never been. The staff were friendly, but our waitress was inattentive and just not very thorough. Most of us ordered burgers, and we repeatedly had to ask her to make s note of how we wanted them cooked. I ordered mine medium, and it was crisp and well done; my mom ordered hers well done, and had a burger that was very pink inside. They used to have a GF menu, but no longer, and the GF offerings seemed to be less (no dedicated fryer, so cross contamination risks...which meant no fries for my dad and I. ) this was so vastly different from our last visit where the waiter made us feel like a welcome guest in his home, very interested in sharing the Slater’s experience. The manager was very nice, friendly and helpful.

Do not expect 5star service, it's not that type of place. It's a very loud sports bar setting with amazingly yummy food. Our waiter was great, & did his best to ensure we had a good dining experience. That said... I ordered the breakfast burrito burger from the gluten free menu. It came with a hash brown on it that I was told (at the last minute)was fried in a non dedicated fryer. I am guessing that the fries we ordered & ate probably weren't done in a dedicated fryer either. Had there been a dedicated fryer available, it probably would have been used for my hash brown. This is a HUGE cross contamination issue. Our whole family is very sensitive to gluten & we prob shouldn't have eaten there, as we are definitely feeling the effects. While they do have a gluten free menu, fries & other items on that menu are actually cross contaminated. BIG no-no. Wish I could leave a better review, because the flavor was awesome.

I ordered from the gluten free menu got the deconstructed guacamole and they severed it with flour chips! Took one bite and realized the waitress said oh yah that's not gluten free! Bad bad service

I didn’t have the best experience here, which might have tainted my perspective - kitchen did not make the requested GF (allergy was overly communicated) burger with a GF bun - luckily the sever caught it as she set it down and took it back to be remade. She came back very quickly with it and I am not sure that they made a fresh sandwich or just removed and replaced the bun (which I’ll take responsibility for, because she walked away before I could say and I did not clarify or call her back). When it was remade, it came back with the salad on the plate (which is the only GF substitute for the fries) and the salad had croutons. That specifically was not clarified with the server upon order, though the allergy was, so I suspect their employee training on gluten allergy is not high. I did eat about half of the burger, and did not have a confirmed reaction, but did not feel great the next day. I would give it a second wary try, if I found myself there unintentionally.

Loved the Hi Brow Burger! I don't react to food from a shared fryer, so I didn't ask about that. We started with the ahi nachos which were fantastic! Wait staff was knowledgeable and I felt secure in ordering my food. W will definitely be back

The only truly gf option is the hamburger bun. The fries are not cooked in a designated fryer.. and our server didn't know that it's not ok. The food was good. The service was very slow and inattentive. We had to ask for the check after waiting 10 minutes. Granted it was a Saturday night. I am reluctantly saying that it is celiac friendly for someone who is very aware.
