I’ve gone to different Smallcakes locations, including where I live and this location is the first I’ve found to serve GF cupcakes by this company. The young man at the counter was friendly and helpful. He let me know that the gluten-free cupcakes are prepared on Saturday but they do keep some in the freezer. I wish I had asked if the buttercream frosting actually contained dairy. At first bite the edges of the cupcake seemed a little dry. However, after I got inside of it, the cake was very moist and flavorful. It was tasty enough to make me question if it was the gluten-free cupcake. Definitely will stop back in if I have a craving.

They make GF on Wednesday and Saturday and then freeze them if they're left over.
They have gluten free cupcakes on Wednesday and Fridays. Or you can call 48 hours in advance.
