UPDATE: stomach upset later. I wouldn't try this location again

Cashier wasn't really sure about GF answers when I asked, but someone came out of the kitchen and answered my questions. The bun was fluffy and big, not sure if it was Udi's. I confirmed it was GF again when it came out. I asked for avocado on the burger, but scraped it off because it was all brown. My partner added "haystack onions" (not GF) that were delicious, but only a few wisps were put on the burger.

The meat itself was delicious, patties thin. I should have just ordered 2 patties on the GF bun.

Fryer used for everything, not safe.

Tried to go to the Smashburger in Riverside Square Mall in Hackensack NJ. Staff was not knowledgeable. Although the sign shows Udi's buns as an option for $1 upcharge the staff told me that was all that was gluten free. I asked "How do you order it as a burger then?" They pulled out their allergy book and told me none of the burgers were gluten free- the cashier went as asked the manager and they told him the meat was OK but no cheese or toppings- except maybe lettuce. He also told me the salad dressings were not gluten free so I could have a plain burger or a plain salad? I left hungry and frustrated and will not be returning.

Good burger and safe fries. I think a $2 upcharge for the gf bun is absurd but what can you do? They also have dairy-free shakes that are very good although a little unusual.

Everything can be Gluten free. GF bun, fries are supposedly GF, but I didn't confirm. no bad reaction. The shake was pretty good too!

We’ve been here countless times and I’ve never had an issue. Very easy online ordering and the gf bun is good for the burgers. Fries and tater tots are in a dedicated fryer. I never opt for the milkshakes though since the brand they use isn’t gf.
