Smoked meats are gluten free. Staff understands and if not sure will ask the kitchen. Was there this week and daughter ordered what she always does (brisket) and waitress said she wasn't sure the au just was safe and said I will be right back, I want to ask the kitchen. Came back and all was good.
Not sure how many sides are gluten free as my daughter is also dairy free so that limits. She loves the green beans so always gets double for her 2 sides. They almost always put her corn bread on another plate for someone else at the table, sometimes when we order we'll remind them no cornbread and they will ask who wants hers.
We always communicate that she is GF/DF when ordering to ensure care with cross contamination.

TL;DR: Great lip service to gluten knowledge, but put an unannounced corn muffin right on the meat.
We first called to find out what would and wouldn't be safe for gluten- and dairy-free diets. The person who answered the phone was quite knowledgeable, letting us know that the ribs and chicken were cooked on a grill that is sprayed with a butter spray and that the fryer is shared with gluten-y foods so the fries wouldn't be safe.
We looked online at their options and called again to see about whether they could do bulk meats (yes to pulled pork and one other, but no to everything else) and sides (pints or quarts)... but otherwise they sell meals with a portion of meat and 2 sides, including the options of beans, cole slaw, green beans, collards, corn muffin, etc. We were looking to do pickup and had already called twice, so we ordered online with notes asking for the french fries to be packaged separately because of allergies,
When I picked up, I checked and saw that the sides were all packaged individually and the fries were in their own container. Looked good, so I headed to the house where we were staying.
When we opened up the bags of food at home, the first thing we saw was a corn muffin sitting in the container smashed right next to the ribs. It wasn't mentioned anywhere on the menu that a muffin was included with meals, and they hadn't mentioned it on the phone. Every single container of meat had a muffin in it, some right in the middle and some on the side. It was so late and so far that it wasn't worth returning to deal with the dangerous mixup, so we ate the sides (and the part of the meat that had been clearly separated from the muffin) and had the non-gluten-free people eat the contaminated part.
Barbecue sauce and meat flavor (ribs, brisket, pulled pork, sausage) was fantastic, baked beans were a little sweet but fine, and cole slaw was great (on the tangy side).
So if I were just rating the flavor, it would be 4 stars. The "gluten-free-friendly" rating, however, without a whole lot of investigation and follow-up, is pretty disappointed and uninterested in giving them any more business. I don't know if they would've fixed it if we had gone back, but the fact that they put an unmentioned allergen smack dab in the rest of the food doesn't give me much confidence in their cross-contamination prevention.
