Smokin' Dave's BBQ

I emailed the restaurant letting them know I was celiac and this was their reply: “Though we are very gluten free friendly, we are not celiac friendly due to the risk of cross contamination. Our fryers and flattop are shared with gluten products. All of our meats and sauces are gluten free as well as a lot of our sides.” Would definitely avoid if celiac but sounds great for someone just avoiding gluten.

How confident are you that this establishment takes safety precautions against cross-contact?

— Not at all

Smokin Dave's has delicious bbq- all their bbq sauces were gluten free & most smoked meats were gluten free with typical sides to choose from (beans, coleslaw, potatoes). Their old menus were marked gf but the new menu when I re-visited in October 2023 & December 2023 were not marked- be sure to ask because they know exactly what is safe. Hopefully they bring back the marked menus they had in 2018 & 2021 when I visited. I'm not a huge bbq fan but this place made me suddenly love bbq sauces knowing they were safe to try & enjoy.
