Went there and waited in line for thirty minutes just to see the line cook tossing around pulled pork sandwiches in the big pulled pork container they use for everyone’s food. I walked straight outta there. Who in the world wants a soggy bbq sandwich anyways? Lol totally baffled me. He was literally dredging them in the pulled pork. I couldn’t believe it.

We really enjoyed our meal! Appreciated the red star beside all of the gluten free options on the chalkboard menu. Our daughter attends Clemson, has Celiac and has never had a reaction. Four out of the five of us were eating gluten free and they said they would make sure to have them change gloves. They made sure to let us know the fried food was off limits because of being shared with gluten. Would definitely recommend!

I’m a long time fan of Smokin’ Pig before I had to cut gluten out, so I wasn’t sure what I could order. I emailed the restaurant ahead of time, and they quickly responded with their GF menu. All their sauces, chopped meats, and about half their sides are GF. Additionally, they’re clearly marked on their menu inside the restaurant. They did add a roll to the plate after I said I didn’t want one, so I’d recommend being really clear if you are concerned about cross contamination. Otherwise, great experience as always at one of my favorite local places in the Clemson area.

The food was excellent and they have gluten free options. However, the girl taking my order didn’t know much about gluten free options. I told her I didn’t want any bread or cornbread and my plate came out with a roll on it so I had to send it back. The people were very nice though. Was just disappointed that after explaining I had an allergy they didn’t take extra precaution to ensure my order was correct.

Staff was great and GF options were clearly posted. Jalapeño cheddar grits were amazing and all the sauces were GF.

This place is amazing! The food is great and the staff is fantastic! I’ve eaten here many times and never gotten sick, be sure to tell them “no roll”.

One of my favorite places to go! They’ll make sure to keep everything separate if you tell them your health concerns. They also have a gluten free menu.

The meat and sauces are gluten free except for the glazed ribs but the dry ribs are ok. Amazing food. I always order just the meat and sauces on our way home from the lake and then eat it at home with my own sides although they have a few gf sides.

Eat at this chain all the time as a sensitive celiac and have never gotten sick. All meats and sauces are gf. Only gf sides are baked beans and Cole slaw (shared fryer for not so gf fries). Alert staff when you order or it will come with/on a bun. Food is AMAZING! Only open Thursday-Saturday.

Absolutely fantastic. The best BBQ I've ever had. Very helpful in choosing sides that were GF. Brisket was unbelievable.

OMG. This place is just too great. Lots of options and slap yo' mama good food. I have not had a reaction to anything I've tried there. Brisket, pulled pork, sweet potato crunch, loaded potato casserole. Yum!

I always get the ribs baked beans and slaw - all are GF as are all the sauces. Many sides r not but this place has excellent BBQ and I've never had a problem here.
