Staple restaurant for us. Eat here weekly for years. Never a problem. Lots of gf items.

Best BBQ around! All of their meats are gluten free as well as their sauces and some sides (coleslaw, beans). Another review said they had a dedicated frier for their fries, but when I called recently they said they didn’t. Very unclear so I avoid their fries. Everything else is so good! I’ve gotten the brisket, pork, ribs and coleslaw and have never had a reaction. The actual restaurant is rather small so this place is better for pickup or delivery.

First of all, this is considered one if the best BBQ places in town.
They are rockstars when it comes to gf. They will have the manager come over to discuss they safety measures and make sure you know what is safe to order.
Their care with our health is amazing.

They are amazing with allergies!!! When I ordered in person, they had their manager come out and discuss all GF options with me. All meats and sauces are GF as well as the slaw, baked beans, and fries (dedicated fryer). Great food and wonderful experience.

Love this place! I have been ordering takeout from them for awhile now and not only is the food delicious, but when I put in the notes that I’m celiac and ask them to change gloves etc., they always call me to tell me about their protocols. My husband, who does not have a gluten allergy, is usually ordering with me, so part of the reason they call is to confirm that I will not be eating the mac and cheese etc. Anyhow, the food is great, the service is great, and I’ve never gotten sick. I’ve had the ribs, the pulled pork and the smoked chicken salad with no sunflower seed (I get nervous about nuts and seeds) with vinegarette, also the fries!

This place is a gem for celiacs. All the barbecue sauces are GF, as well as the baked beans, coleslaw, and fries (dedicated fryer). Delicious, safe food!

Definitely worth the visit. In addition to being the best BBQ I've ever had, they have great knowledge about allergies and at the same time the person called the manager, who informed me what I could eat as well as what precautions the kitchen would take to avoid cross contamination. Amazing!!

A friend ordered catering from Smoque - oh boy. Take out for a Celiac is never fun. I called directly to find out what is gf on their menu - and the manager himself got on the line with me to talk about the menu. Turns out all of their meats and sauces are gluten free! He also went through the sides that would be safe - the baked beans, the coleslaw and the fries - which are made in a dedicated fryer!

The food was delicious, so many options including amazing fries in a dedicated fryer, plus the service was quick despite being very busy. I am very sensitive celiac and had no problems. Will be back!

Their brisket is as good as any I had in Texas before I learned that I can’t eat gluten, and it’s remarkably consistent. Their French fries are fried in a dedicated fryer and are some of the best you’ll ever eat. Even better, they take gluten concerns seriously here and are happy to ensure that your food is safe.

Absolutely love the brisket and fries here! It’s always nice to find a place with a dedicated fryer and they do fries SO WELL! Their BBQ sauce is also amazing. I always end up with leftovers and make brisket sandwiches at home for the next two days.

I went there on a very busy Sunday. The manager came out to talk to me and tell me what has the least possibility for cross contact. I ordered what he suggested and it was great! Awesome food and I didn't get sick! Get the fries!

Really delicious. I had the pulled pork platter and the gf sides of coleslaw, baked beans (yummy smoked flavor), and FRENCH FRIES. It’s a casual place and was very busy but we got our food quickly. I’d come again!

Not only is this the best barbecue in Chicago, but they went out of their way to make sure that our catering order was celiac safe for my daughter.

Manager and staff were very nice. I was told all meats and sauces were gluten free, along with beans and fries! Staff seemed aware of the need to keep my food separate from gluten containing food. Good BBQ!
We ordered carry out over the phone. Staff was extremely knowledgeable, and my son didn’t get sick. Fries are GF too!

Owner came out and was happy to explain their process for trying to avoid CC. Food was delicious! Didn't get sick after eating there!

It's been awhile since I've been here but I can tell you as a girl from Texas at this place is awesome! I've eaten here three times and never gotten sick.

This was the most fun and delicious find. The food was incredible. But even better than the food was the respect I was shown when I explained I have celiac. The manager, Al, explained the menu items that were safe. Then he personally helped me order at the counter to make sure the gluten free label was applied. And then he brought my order to me at the table. I would not hesitate to recommend this place to anyone. I will definitely be going back!!

Mostly GF and some of the best BBQ in the city. I just wish they had a few more greens on the menu.

Very GlutenFree friendly, very little that I couldn't eat. The staff made sure everything met my needs.

As other reviewers have said, they are very upfront about what is and isn't gluten free (the only not so obvious one was that the chili is not GF) and do take special precautions as long as you inform the cashier. It was all super delicious. It was also such a treat that even at a busy time (which would usually make me nervous) they had no problem answering my questions and I could see that they were careful following their procedures to keep the GF orders separate. Happily, whatever they did worked because I'm totally fine!

Definitely the largest competition for my family's rib/meat meal desires with QBBQ and The Pork Shoppe. Their ribs are smoky and delicious and spiced and I could eat them all day long. Their fries, coleslaw, and beans are also gluten free and just tell the cashier when you order that you have an allergy and they take special precautions. My mom has also talked to Al, one of the owners, and he knew all about celiac disease and how to prep the food. Go here for amazing ribs!!

Staff is knowledgeable about gluten free and will also have the manager come out to discuss as well. Fries were the best. Pretty much everything is safe except the bread.
Absolutely Amazing!! The food is delicious and all of the staff is very knowledgeable about Gluten free items as well as cleaning the work space! Thanks for a great experience!! YUMMY

Fantastic BBQ! All of their meats are gluten free. Their French Fries are also gluten free and prepared in their own fryer. All of their sauces are gluten free. The only thing to avoid would be the bread (obviously). I highly recommend it.
