Review of Snooze, an A.M. Eatery

Review

This place is not safe for a Celiac. I was going to eat here but called ahead to check on safety measures. Spoke with a manager, who stated:

1) Flour is readily used in the kitchen. 2) There is no dedicated GF kitchen, including lack of toaster or fryer. 3) All food is made on shared equipment, and any tools cleaned cannot be guaranteed safe against cross contamination (and she said no extra measure is taken to prevent it).

Yes, almost all meals can be "modified" to be "gluten friendly/free" as other reviewers stated, but they neglect to clarify that these modifications still come in contact with guaranteed cross-contamination within the kitchen.

I was frankly surprised more so at the other Celiac reviews, that the precaution wasn't taken to vet a location and provide critical feedback for other Celiacs. Cross contamination is an extremely important item to verify. I just don't get it.

This location is absolutely not safe to eat at unless you "choose" to be GF for non health-safety reasons.
