SoCal is one of my go-to restaurants in town! The food is great and there are lots of options that are clearly marked on the menu. Chips are GF and fried in a separate fryer. They have corn tortillas for tacos and the nachos are incredible. Drinks are pretty great too!! Overall it’s a wonderful spot to go to if you want food you know will be safe and won’t cause you any issues.

Great!! I’m so happy to have found this gluten free option in Tuscaloosa. I ordered the queso (with corn tortillas- I asked about the chips and they are made in a shared fryer). The server was very understanding and accommodating to my needs and she alerted the kitchen to clean the counters and switch out their gloves. I had the Anaheim chicken tacos. So yummy and did not get sick. I will be back!

We are traveling through Alabama and found SoCal through the gf app. We were impressed! Great atmosphere in a downtown location and the menu is almost entirely gf. We had the guacamole with house made chips, fish tacos and shrimp tacos. It was all delicious.

Owner is Celiac and most of the menu is GF. Felt very safe eating here. Food was Amazing!

So accommodating and my little boy has eaten here several times and never had any issues. It’s now one of his favorite restaurants! One of the owners is also Celiac so has made the menu very easy for those who are GF.
