After seeing the other reviews we decided to come close to dinner but it was 4:45pm so a little early. When we were sat down, we nicely asked if there was a gluten free menu or what the options were and the lady just said no and walked away. Then a man came to take our order and we asked what the options were and he wasn’t completely sure but said salad or snapper. We then asked if we could see the dinner menu and he said no because dinner starts at 5:15. We ended up just getting drinks because we didn’t feel comfortable eating here. Then when we went to pay they wanted cash and acted like all their machines were broken which I would have believed if the people next us hadn’t just paid with card. It took maybe 15 minutes after we said we don’t have cash for them to let us pay with card. Just a weird and off-putting experience, I don’t recommend and won’t try coming again.

Nope. Not for lunch anyway. Chef Joseph must only be for the dinner crowd. We were told there was virtually nothing we could have except salad. Things we asked about we were told yes, then when we asked follow-up questions (like sharing a fryer) the server then said no. Paid $20 for Cokes and left.

Chef Joseph did a phenomenal job of 1) ensuring all dietary needs (celiac + food allergies) would be addressed when we spoke in advance of our trip and 2) stocking the kitchen with all items to accommodate. For instance, he purchased dairy-free mayo for us so that my son could have spicy aioli with the sushi rolls. Chef always stocks GF soy/tamari but importantly, my son was thrilled finally be able to order tempura sushi given the GF panko and separate fryer. I can't say enough about the experience. Though the table service was fine (well-meaning wait staff but not amazing) the setting is excellent.

Chef Joseph is the best! He came out to talk to me and assured me of all the menu options that would be safe for me to eat. I had lots to choose from! He even offered to bring in gluten free flour to make other menu options safe for the remainder of my stay. The Grouper I tried tonight was fantastic! I will be returning to this restaurant for sure!

Our serverJennie was very knowledgeable and let Chef Joseph know of our allergy! Best sushi I’ve ever had with gluten-free soy sauce! Entrées were to die for! Grouper and curry chicken were fabulous! Highly highly recommend having lunch or dinner there!

Ask for chef walky. He takes care of us every time we’re on the island and our 2- now 6 year old son with celiac. He makes us burgers with Gf buns, baked French fries, ribs, steaks, chicken, fish with potatoes and veggies, never an issue. Always cooks everything separate.
What’s amazing is he also carries GF flour and makes handmade chicken/fish fingers in a separate pan for us. Chef Walky and Solana are awesome and a big reason we’re back for the 4th straight year.
