The food was amazing and so was the atmosphere. However our waiter did not know much about which dishes had gluten or not and came back multiple times from the kitchen confirming a lot of dishes he claimed were gluten free actually weren’t. This was very disappointing and they also do not have a gluten free soy sauce alternative. A lot of dishes use ponzu right now and they don’t have a substitute.

Staff was extremely knowledgeable about gluten, knowing which items were naturally GF, which could be made GF, and which ones could not.
Highly sensitive and I didn't have a reaction there.

The waiters were knowledgeable about gluten free. There were a number of dishes they could modify so that they were gluten free. They offered to make fried dishes with corn rather than wheat flour, but the fryer isnt a dedicated fryer so there is cross contamination. My daughter is celiac, so couldnt eat anything fried. She had a roll with gf soy sauce, edamame and hot rock beef. There were lots of other options she could have chosen. Food at soto is delicious. We will be back.
