Beautiful waterfront dining with delicious half shell oysters. Chowders GF and they said they could prepare any non fried fish GF. Waitress seemed annoyed with me and accidentally brought. Rackers to table. Worst part was tiny portions of soup and salad. I went for the oysters and to hang out and nibble, but doubt I will go back.

First time here. Before ordering I asked waiter if the kitchen staff knew about and understood Celiacs. He assured me they did.
Ordered blackened mahi w coleslaw as a side bc although it came w fries I asked about fryer usage and cross contamination. Wasn’t entirely satisfied w response. Also checked to be sure slaw was GF. Was told it was GF. As an aside, I am a southern girl but this is the first time I’ve ever (in my 60yrs) had “pickley” slaw. Not pleasant for me.
Also not pleasant was the overcooked, underseasoned mahi. For whatever reason I have found once again that overcooking and underseasoning seems commonplace when kitchen staff is unfamiliar with cooking GF.
My husband did enjoy his glorious full of gluten hushpuppies, oyster sandwich and crispy (probably cross contaminated) fries.
Yes
We managed to find a gluten free option in the raw oysters but the staff has zero knowledge and was very unfriendly when we asked if sauces were gluten free.
Great waiter and cook. Took the time to discuss options with me and cooked food separately. would have loved to have had fries, only criticism.
