I want to start this by explains the general Manager took care of us and actually covered our entire meal which he did not need to do and was very nice of him. While the staff here was kind and they had GF buns available I don’t feel like Manager that was serving my table understood that as celiac I could become sick. I first asked if they had Tito’s available and specified it was because I had a GF “allergy” (always easier to say to alert the staff). My drink was delicious. However, when I ordered my meal I asked if their friend were shared. They were so I asked for mashed potatoes. I then asked for a smash burger with a gluten free bun. I had already explained the reason why prior. When my burger came out I because to eat it and noticed the consistency was odd. I asked my husband to try and turns out it was a bean burger. I asked the Manager if the smash burger was a bean burger and he apologized saying that because I was GF he thought I wanted a veggie burger. I told him it was fine and it tasted great. Truthfully it was too late to wait for another meal. Except my husband reviewed the menu and sure enough the bean burger was made with bread crumbs. We have not had issues at the aurora location. The food here is good but I recommend being very clear and checking for understanding if you are celiac.
