Review

Google reviews looked promising, and it's close. Arrived early-bird time to ask about separate prep practices and order from the physical menu (the only version of the menu to show GF marked, GF not listed online at this time). At least one menu item was marked GF but had "fried wonton strips" as topping, troublingly - and apparently without thought as to what GF means. I asked if gluten free curries are prepared separately (there's a lot of gluten on the menu) and was asked in return, maybe by the owner, if I wanted them to give the pan an extra soapy wash before it would be used to prepare my curry. I said yes; asked if this would be an issue when they are busy with orders, they said no no - but it seems like an extra step to have to ask for as a customer, and for the staff to be sure gets done. My auto-immune isn't as severe as it sometimes is, and I didn't get sick in a severe way... but the result still wasn't ideal. Heartburn, though not spicy-feeling despite ordering a nice intense "Medium" spice level. Curry was thin and quite a bit of oil separated out from it. As other reviewers said there was spice but there wasn't much underlying layered, combined flavor.

Ended taking our meals as takeout - my curry container did not come out labeled gluten free.

After the conversation about the extra pan wash, same staff asked about me getting sick, probably to show sympathy/understanding, and then apologized to my partner who was ordering next. Why apologize for the discussion on prep and gluten separation with me, to someone who probably cares about my health (like a friend or partner)? Apologized for a couple quick comments discussing health safety...
