Love this place! They ask right away if any orders are gf and place them first. They are constantly wiping down tables and surfaces, even outdoor. Unfortunately, they can't do kids fish and chips gluten free so we just got the box. They even have Ben and Jerrys gf/df ice cream!

Great experience! My daughter has Celiac’s and it can be hard to find places in Maine that can truly offer a GF Maine food experience. All seafood is done in GF batter in a dedicated fryer (French fries too!). Not only was it safe, but it was very good as well.

AMAZING!!! It’s been 10 years since I’ve had fried whole belly clams and man was I excited to finally try this place! Wherever you are coming from, it’s worth the drive! Highly, highly recommend! My wife had the GF fried shrimp, amazing as well! And everyone working there is so friendly!

Go here!!! It doesn’t matter how much of a drive there is, go here!! I’m not sure I could think of one way to improve this restaurant. My family and I have gone twice this week. The first day I ordered GF fried shrimp and fries (a favorite meal I never get to enjoy anymore). Today I ordered the GF fried haddock sandwich, fries, and clam chowder. Everything is DELICIOUS! They are very careful about noting orders that are gluten free, they mark the boxes gf, and they stick a gf pick inside the food. The batter is light and delicious. The seafood is top notch. The clam chowder is amazing. What more can I say?? The chowder is always gf, as are the fries. They have their own dedicated fryer, so they are always safe. My family all ordered regular food and said it was just as delicious. We are on vacation for another week here and I will certainly be getting more food here before we leave. It makes me so happy that I don’t have to miss out on amazing Maine seafood just because I am highly sensitive to gluten. Thank you Spinnakers for an amazing job! 💗

Amazing gluten free fried seafood and french fries. We have two celiac kids and neither of them have ever gotten sick here. They are also very knowledgeable about what gluten free means.

They can do gluten free and no cross contamination but I wouldn’t recommend going here the prices are very high and the food is definitely not worth it, I got a lobster roll and there was barely any lobster in a roll that was stale and fell apart (knowing how gluten free bread can be lol this was definitely one of the worst)

We went last night and I got the fried haddock, french fries & cole slaw. It was one of the best fried haddock I have ever had - the batter was light and tasty and the fish was flaky and delicious. I would go back again! The fries were also homemade and tasty.

Clearly marked gf items on menu. I had the clam chowder and it was very good. The staff was very patient explaining everything. You order at the window and get a buzzer when your food is ready. You then have the option to go inside to find a table where you can eat when your order is ready. Very clean.

I noticed this restaurant while stopped at the intersection and thought “I wish I could find a gluten free seafood spot” and then noticed the sign literally said “gluten free seafood” on it. I was skeptical at first but checked this app and was convinced into going once I read about their dedicated fryer.

The staff was fantastic, and as other reviews have said, they were thorough and reassuring about their gluten free precautions. The food also came labeled “gluten free.”

This is the first time I’ve been able to eat real fried fish and French fries since my celiac diagnosis in February. It was one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. I’m so glad I decided to drive back to Boston on route 1 and that I hit a red light out front of Spinnakers!

It was so wonderful and reassuring to have the owner at the window taking my order knowledgeable about celiac!

Eight of us dined at Spinnakers - to accommodate my celiac child. But all of us loved our meals and will definitely return - celiac in tow or not!!

My son had the GF chicken tenders and hand cut fries. I had the lobster salad which had tons of lobster meat. The others had lobster rolls - which were HUGE.

High quality food, extremely clean and wonderfully friendly service. Highly recommend!

Absolutely amazing! I was able to have fried shrimp and my daughter had the chicken tenders. We both had fries as well. I had the chicken nuggets gluten free with French fries for lunch with bbq sauce. It’s was good! The basket only came with 3 pieces of chicken. I wish the fries were alittle bit more crisp

If in Southern Maine, you have to stop here! I haven’t had fried haddock in years and it was delicious. The batter was quite tasty and the fish fresh. The French fries were fantastic. I got the box instead of the platter and it was more than enough! Highly recommend! They actually ran out food right after we left.

If your Celiac , this is a MUST to stop at!! We were greeted at the ordering line by one of the owners and she takes gluten allergies extremely serious. Separate fryers,pots ,pans ,utensils . Food clearly marked with wooden sticks printed gluten free. She said most of the condiments are also gluten free Along with salad dressings. The fried food was so delicious! This will be a regular stop for us!

As someone with celiac and a love of seafood, I frequent this place often. They have a designated gluten free fryer so you can get basically everything gluten free. They have the best lobster roll I've ever had with huge chunks of lobster and no fillers. They offer some great additions like lemon aioli, butter, or chipotle so you can add you own flavor as desired. The staff is great and takes the allergy very seriously. They have never made me sick here which is needed as I have a very sensitive allergy.
