This place has a few token gf things but puts zero effort into actually making them safe for customers who need it. The menu comes with a warning that all gf things 'have a very high risk of gluten contamination.' And they aren't kidding.
Server told me the gf pizza was prepped and cooked on the same surface with no precautions taken. They use the same gluteny pizza stone with no parchment or anything and would not be willing to use a clean cutter. Cool.
I went with the pulled chicken tacos, which seemed safest. They were not good. The tortilla was clearly low budget from a grocery store and was cold. The chicken was dry and hard to swallow. The cheese was the coated pre-shedded type that would refuse to melt even in a Yellowstone geothermal pool. I had vage, mild symptoms, which for me means cross contamination.
My gluten eating partner got fish and chips, and said it was ok, but got sick later. They have no food allergies/issues, so I'm not sure what happened there...
I think the previous reviewer was unfortunately given false information. I was told they do not have gf chicken tenders or fries, and they are not marked gf on the menu while other things are.
The meads are ok, but nothing extraordinary. The family member we visit every summer lives 1/2 mile down the road, otherwise I'd never come here again. Lots better, and safer, places to eat in traverse. I'll go back to hang and have a drink but won't bother eating there ever again.

this was a pretty awful experience which sucks because this place is beautiful. I was assured that there was a gluten free fryer and told that the safest option would be the chicken tenders and fries. I don’t really like this but ordered anyways for safety, and double checked multiple times with our waitress that it was indeed gluten free as it was really busy and I was nervous they would forget. we arrived at 6:10, weren’t seated until 7:10, ordered at 7:20. we didn’t get our food for over 2 hours until 9:30. all in all waited for over 3 hours for food which is insane. the food was so mediocre but at that point I was starving and just happy to have food. then about 5 hours later I am now sick on the toilet. assuming they did not in fact use the gluten free fryer as I was worried about. pretty disappointed all around.

The menu is not clearly marked. Our server didn’t know what was GF. But after checking with the kitchen confirmed what was safe with reduced potential contamination. The pizza has high risk of contamination. We were told the chicken fingers and fries could be made GF in a separate fryer. We were so surprised, and didn’t believe it at first. Chicken strips, fries and Cesar salad were all great!

Food was good. You can do tacos, pizza or gf tenders and fries. My server didn’t ring in my pizza as cauliflower crust, so glad I really paid attention. Ciders were good!

Gluten free fryer! They can make the burgers GF on a GF bun. They have GF breaded chicken fingers and fries fried in the special fryer. Wonderful outdoor summer music venue!
