Star Pizza

I was really excited to see they opened a location in Katy. I ordered door dash to my office, specified gf and celiac on the order. The pizza was good in flavor. I ate half Thursday and was ok. I ate the other half Friday and spent all day Saturday extremely sick. Its 3 days later and my tell tale day 3 rash and extreme stomach cramps and gas are here. I will not eat here again as i dont want to take the risk. Obviously it was just a small cross contamination bc half of the pizza was fine. All it takes is a tiny amount to really ruin an entire meal.

Yesssss!!! Finally I can dine pizza and not get contaminated 😭💖 Ordered through DoorDash, wrote the GF/Celiac specification and they delivered a celiac safe pepperoni and ham pizza. It was great to taste a delicious pizza after a long time. It tasted so good 🥹💖

Best gluten free pizza in the area! I love their pizza, and they are always reliable. I've never gotten sick. I also have a dairy allergy, so I get mine without cheese. Delicious!

This pizza was so good I questioned if I got a regular pizza. This is the best gf pizza I’ve had since diagnosed. Ordered online twice and each time the staff repeats and confirms gluten free!

This was so good! The pizza was prepared separately and baked in its own pan. It was really good, and my non gf friend liked it too!

I got the margherita pizza with pepperoni. Delicious. They cooked the pizza on its own pan so it wouldn’t touch any gluten. The ranch is also great!

I wouldn’t generally step foot in a pizza joint since my diagnosis but thanks to the reviews I gave it a shot and it was heavenly! I asked the questions to confirm separate prep area, baked in same oven but in its own pan, use separate cutter to cut the pizza etc. I got “Ben’s” pizza and it was mighty delicious.

Celiac friendly?

Yes

I’ve eaten at Star 1 for years but this location is closer to home so we thought we’d give it a go. It was even better than the regional location. Crust was soft and sauce was on point. They prepare GF pizza in a separate area and are very careful to not cross contaminate.

Dedicated space in the back kitchen for the GF pizza. It’s baked in a aluminum pan so it doesn’t touch the bottom of the oven. It does take longer than a Gluten full pizza so be prepared to wait a little longer than they say, especially if they are super busy.

Celiac friendly?

Yes

Called to confirm dedicated GF space. They said it was a dedicated prep space, but a shared oven. Didn’t go.

Staff accommodating and explained separate area well. Delicious and no issues

I spoke at length with managers and felt comfortable with their GF procedures. My daughter got a simple pepperoni and black olives pizza and crust is definitely thicker than usual GF pizzas!
