The place was knowledgeable about celiac and did every to make sure my grilled grouper had no gluten or dairy. It was wonderful
They have a gluten free menu. I asked about cooking the fish. They cleaned the grill. I had grouper, potato salad and cole slaw. Good food. Seemed knowledgeable about cross contamination.

The food was delicious! I got grilled shrimp, coleslaw and green beans. Clean restaurant and fun environment. Staff was friendly and helpful too! Unfortunately I had some stomach pain after we left so there must have been some cross contact somewhere. I didn’t get really sick so whatever happened was minimal but stinks because the food was wonderful!!

When I asked for a gluten free menu I wasn’t provided with one but they did tell me the options they had available but still put hush puppies on my plate. If you go make sure you clarify no hush puppies. Other than this the fish was good.

No no no NO. do NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY. There are "gluten free" options like grilled shrimp or boiled chicken if you are out with friend who INSIST on going here, but you will pay too much and get too little to be worth your time, money and effort.

Decided to try after Door Dash said this was gluten free (trying not to eat in establishments til COVID is over). Used my best judgment in ordering and did mark in the notes I have celiac's. Got grilled shrimp, Cole slaw, and potato salad. All the food was very good, and had no signs of cross contamination!

Asked for a GF menu and the cashier was short with me and seemed annoyed I was asking. She handed me a takeout menu which had lots of items on there that normally have wheat. When I questioned her she insisted it was the GF menu. I kept pressing her and finally she grabbed another menu clearly labeled Gluten Free Menu and handed it to me. My husband, son and I all got the special gluten free- the swordfish and it didn’t have much flavor and was tough. We were so disappointed. That being said their sides were amazing! The potato salad is a must! Normally I’m not a fan of grits but tried my son’s cheese grits and they were delicious!

The cashier/waitress upfront immediately asked if it was for celiac when I asked for a gluten free menu! Ingot the grilled shrimp and cheese grits. Food was so good!

I am gluten intolerant. I went for dinner on a Saturday, that always makes me nervous. The reviews were good and Stewby's did not disappoint! There was an order and a pickup window, and a small printed sign alerted me the young woman taking my order was in training. I asked for the gluten free menu, she looked at me funny and another woman whipped around and said with a smile, "Tell me what you want to order." Then she asked if I was celiac or intolerant! And with that and the order went in, the expeditor was alerted and the kitchen notified! My sea scallops were seasoned and grilled to perfection, the cheese grits thick, and the potato salad had a nice crunch of pickles. I waited 24 hours to write this just to make sure it was as good as I hoped! Not one symptom! Five stars for Stewby's!

Very knowledgeable. I asked for gluten free menu and they asked me if it’s for Celiac. Then informed the cooks change gloves and use the dedicated GF space for our dinner. Just about everything can be grilled. Good choice of sides. I had collards and slaw husband had potato salad. Everything was delicious. Excellent option for seafood. The scallops were so tender and succulent I didn’t want to share. Grilled swordfish was excellent too.

Gluten free menu. The person who took our order was great! She was very proactive in letting the kitchen know about our gluten free order. Food tasted great! Fish dinner and fish tacos ordered. Plenty of sides to choose from! No issues with anything we ordered.

If you need GF seafood like crab legs or crawfish make sure you go to the location on Santa Rosa Blvd. They have a seafood market on the right for your GF seafood and if you look to the left you have the restaurant area for everything fried for those who are not gluten free. I had both crab legs and crawfish but did not try the sausage just in case.

This location is newer and nicer than the original but with the same great food. A good gf menu of fish, shrimp, and scallops with several side s options. I’m confident I won’t be glistened here.

Ask for the gluten free menu! The staff asked if it was allergy or preference and were cautious for us. Cheese grits, tacos, grilled dinner platter were all awesome!! They even switched out fried shrimp food grilled shrimp for my kids’ plates.
Yes
gluten free menu available upon request. I had fish tacos; be sure to specify corn tortillas because they have both flour and corn available. cheese grits on the side were good. overall love this place, gluten free menu is fairly extensive
Be very careful eating here. They have gluten free options but a lot of careless kids working there that don’t take it seriously. I’ve been there a handful of times and have had an issue almost every time with them including hush puppies on my dish. Even though I tell them not to every time. They don’t care.
UPDATE....New menu in late 2018. FRIES ARE NO LONGER GF. Very disappointed.
This is the best place for seafood! their grilled fish and shrimp are out of this world! They do have a gluten-free menu and are knowledgeable about GF. Their fries are fried with their hush puppies (only) and I am super sensitive and have never gotten sick from the fries. I am celiac. Spoke with the owner about expanding their GF menu to include fried items using rice flour which he seemed very amenable to. He says they don't get too many requests so if you go there to eat, tell them you read it on this app and would love for them to add fried foods to their GF menu! I told him about this app and said if it was listed, people would come! Also ask if their hush puppies can be made GF. GREAT food and business is booming. Destin seafood at Fort Walton prices!! They will soon be opening another location in Crestview. The grilled shrimp platter is the BEST!
We ate here on Sunday night and our food was delicious. I am Celiac. They had a a Gluten Free menu and even told the cooks in the back of the allergy on my order. I ordered the grilled shrimp with Cole slaw and cucumber salad. It was fresh, and light. Perfect for what I was wanting on my first night at the beach. We even ate dinner with a wonderful couple from Texas. This app has not disappointed me yet

I was pleasantly surprised that they had a gluten free menu. However, they brought my child’s meal with a hush puppy on top after i told them she has celiac and is extremely sensitive. I just let her eat the food that i thought didn’t touch the hush puppy bc they were so busy that i didn’t want to ask them to make a new meal. She then got sick. 🙁 I should have made them make a new meal.
It was very busy when we went. They had a gluten free menu to show me when I asked about it, which surprised me. I ordered a grilled shrimp Cesar salad and asked for no croutons or cheese, but it came with croutons. They did make a new one, but I believe the dressing had Parmesan in it.
