TAKE CAUTION! They have tags on the menu named K for keto, GF for gluten free and GM for gluten modified (can remove any gluten containing ingredients) I opted for the Plant City Salad, which was GM. The waiter had no knowledge of what it was on the salad that might not have been GF. He came to the conclusion it was the candied walnuts and ordered my food. Not only did I tell him it was a severe allergy, my husband and my mom who were sitting on each side of me reiterated how severe it was. He came back and the salad looked good I didn’t immediately see any nuts anywhere. After I had taken at least three bites and had been slowly stirring the salad incorporating all the ingredients I came across some pieces & crumbs of the walnuts he told me was what made the salad GM and not GF. I told him there was nuts in it and he took my food and INSISTED on remaking it. He got to be five feet away from me before turning around for me to tell him I’m more comfortable not eating here and eating at home later. After all if they couldn’t do something as simple as not putting something on a salad when it’s clearly marked as an allergy -nuts no less- I’m not trusting them again. No way. So he apologized multiple times before coming back and telling me “hey the chef and I looked through your salad and didn’t see anything” I’m sorry excuse me? Was I to pick out the gluten out of own salad to be able to prove to you that’s what I saw? And please let me clarify: there were NO whole nuts. Only nut pieces and nut crumbs. They were something that clearly did not resemble anything else on the salad. This experience while great for the others in my family was very poor to me. I will not be returning. I know mistakes happen when you’re strictly GF however my symptoms are too severe to give people or places a second chance to make me sick.
