Wait staff here was very friendly and made gluten free accommodations for my Celiac's. I ordered the spicy maki sushi entree and they switched to a gf dressing for the salad and had gf soy sauce. However, there was a miscommunication for my sushi rolls. I had assumed it was gluten free since they were aware of my concerns, but I got extremely sick. I should have double checked with the servers, but definitely something to be aware of when ordering here.

I have celiac. Went to Sumo tonight as they just opened. All of the non-fried sushi can be made gluten free and they have gluten free soy sauce. You can also get hibachi, fried rice, and many items on their menu to be made gluten free. The staff were kind and seemed receptive to trying to make their establishment gluten free friendly! I’d say, give it a shot. If you want to be extra careful, just get the sushi. I did not get sick and I have severe celiac. I got two sushi rolls and vegetable fried rice!
