Summary: not safe 1 they brought my burger out plated with the fries, even though I asked him not to 2 the kitchen staff seemed confused about what was considered gluten free 3 the waitress later told me that the fries were gluten-free because she marked my order with “gluten free” although she could not answer me if they had a dedicated gluten-free fryer that fried nothing else but french fries when I asked her that question.

I told the waitress I couldn’t have any wheat. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger on a gluten free bun, with the fries on a separate plate so I could give them to my son, and a side salad with no croutons.

A kitchen employees brought my burger on the same plate as the fries, with the fries all around and touching my bun, and no salad. I told her that I’d told the waitress that I couldn’t have the fries on the sane plate because I have to eat gluten free. The kitchen staff seemed confused on whether or not that meant she needed to make a whole new burger. I told her that I would need a new burger and bun and I needed my salad, and apologized for the inconvenience.

The waitress came out and apologized. She asked if they made it wrong and I said yes. She said that she put it in as gluten-free so they should’ve known.

they later brought me my hopefully remade burger, and a side salad. They did not bring the fly fries on a separate plate so that my kids could eat them, even though I had to pay for them, like I originally asked. At this point, I was done with dealing with it so I didn’t even ask for more fries.

They seem to be a bit disconnect between the waitresses in the kitchen staff and what was actually gluten-free, and what wasn’t.

Previous restaurant goers have advised that their fries have not been gluten-free, and, based on my experience , I did not feel comfortable eating there at all anymore.

My family, that does not have to eat, gluten-free, did enjoy their meal, and said that their shakes really good.

There is another restaurant that has delicious burgers with gluten-free buns, that I had much better experience, just a block away. I will not be ordering food from Sunlight again.
