So happy to have a safe sushi restaurant in town! The menu isn’t super helpful, but the sushi chefs can tell you what’s safe and what isn’t. (The crab, smelt eggs, and anything fried are not safe.) There are several safe options and they take care to prepare GF stuff in a separate area from other food.

Menu is very poorly labeled and has inaccurate info about what is/is not GF. However, staff are very knowledgeable and helped us understand what we could order. Definitely be prepared to talk with your server, let them know your dietary needs, and have a conversation about what you can get. The menu was so confusing that we didn't feel like we had a range of choices.

I went to Sushi Nabe recently based on the positive reviews here on FindMeGF. We went on a Saturday night and had a long wait, as they were very busy and short staffed. It was worth the wait! Our server was wonderful and suggested items that could be made safely for me. The menu itself doesn’t show what is gluten free. She said they make the sushi rice with gluten free vinegar. I asked about the chirashi bowl, and she double checked with the chef. They were able to make the chirashi bowl GF by substituting other fish for the eel, imitation crab meat, and egg custard, which all had gluten. The chirashi pieces were large, so she brought me a knife and a separate plate to cut them. They did have GF soy sauce, in a special little bottle from the back, which the server brought out for me. Next time I look forward to trying the sushi rolls that are GF. The miso soup and house salad with ginger dressing were both GF as well. I did not get sick when I ate here, and I do get sick when there has been cross contact with gluten at other restaurants, despite my best efforts to ask for allergy flags. It’s nice to have a safe place I can eat to satisfy my sushi craving!

The staff was very accommodating. They called to ask what was safe for me to eat, and you could hear them discussing in the background about which options were gluten free and which ones were not. The manager was very kind and made sure to ask if tuna was okay for me, which it was. Very happy with the service. Would definitely eat there again.

Great food! The staff understood gluten free needs. A lot of options are available. Great atmosphere.

They have wonderful gluten free sushi and have GF soy sauce. I've only tried their sushi but they have other GF options. I will note that their sushi rice is a little on the sweet side which is unusual for I'm use to but still very tasty.
