Review of Sushi Yoshi

Safety: Not safe. Was given the wrong order and it had gluten in it. Possible language barrier, staff not knowledgeable.

Variety: Had around 10-15 sushi/sashimi rolls marked as GF. Has GF soy sauce.

Taste: GF sushi here tastes decent. They seem to be more well known for their specialty rolls, but the sauces on those rolls have gluten in them.

Overall: I liked the rolls here pre-diagnosis and was excited to see that they had a gluten free menu, however this menu is just a laminated regular menu with certain rolls crossed out or “NO” next to them. There seemed to be incorrect/inconsistent information on this menu — they had rolls with imitation crab stick as ok (imitation crab often has gluten in it), and they only omitted certain rolls with fish roe in them after they had explained to me that their roe source has gluten. I ordered a plain salmon roll and was given the wrong item that had tempura in it, and got sick. Unfortunately will not be returning, and I would urge caution going here if you have celiac or a gluten sensitivity.
