Swamp Shack

We had a wonderful experience at Swamp Shack Lake Jackson. We called ahead and they started a dedicated fryer for us. The waitress was knowledgable and what she didn’t know she double checked. They were patient with us and helped us to make decisions and modify things on the menu to be gluten free. They had a dedicated area I. The kitchen to prep our food to ensure no cross contamination. We will for sure be back and highly recommend swamp shack.

No gluten Free menu at the Baybrook location and they didn't even have a nutrition sheet I could look at to see what contained. Very disappointed 😩

I can’t rave about this place enough! My food was fantastic and safe! My only comment is even though I called twice asking about GF options and told them I was on the way they didn’t turn on the dedicated fryer. They said it would be 45 minutes but it barely took 20 minutes. IT WAS WORTH THE WAIT! Food was amazing! Service was great!

Loved this place!! Stopped by on a Friday night after a basketball game. The staff ALL knew what was GF and had excellent recommendations. If you want fried options, call about 45 min ahead and let them know so they can start warming up the GF fryer. We had the super crawfish plate, seafood enchiladas, and blackened redfish with ponchitrain sauce. All of it was excellent and no reactions!!

Great experience- haven’t had fried food in so long! They will turn on a dedicated GF fryer for you - ask as soon as you walk in. Waitress was knowledgeable and said the owner’s wife is GF.

Wife of the owner is celiac and chooses all the gluten free products. The food is always yummy and I never get sick. With advance notice they can even fry some of their seafood in cornmeal. Must try.

Everything I ordered was AMAZING..plus they were serving $2 mimosas! The staff was very kind and helpful. GF items labeled on the menu. Will be back!
