Food was great, and their GF safety rating on here is great, so it pains me to say that I had a gluten reaction from my food. All food was ordered GF and was all clearly marked so my only guess is someone made a mistake in preparation or packaging. I'll probably try them again, but it was distinctly my typical gluten reaction (which I will spare you, diner, the details) and did not have other symptoms pointing at allergy or food poisoning. Really sad because again the food was great and they clearly had GF procedures. Likely an honest mistake.

Limited menu, but everything is fantastic. Very careful and informed about GF practices. Love this place!

Update 10/2023: Still fantastic. Weekly specials are very frequently gf or have a gf option, and a couple of the best specials have made it into the menu.

Strongly recommend the panang and yellow curries, as well as the pad thai. All three gf fried rices are fantastic as well, especially the Jeow Bong.

Note for your visit: the dining room is small and fills up quickly at peak times. Everything is made to order; for takeout, be sure to order early.

Excellent, fresh Thai/Laotian food. Gluen free menu has a wide variety of options. Site says gf meals are prepared in a separate pan. Recently, I ordered the spring rolls, pad thai & mango sticky rice for dessert. Ordering online is easy for pick-up though there is an area for eating in. Order early due to high demand & meals being made to order.

Loved this restaurant when it was Asian Bistro in Janesville. The employees are knowledgeable about gluten free requirements and they have prepared my meals safely for years. I drove an hour to eat a Sweet Basil meal tonight and it did not disappoint.

At Sweet Basil, everything is made to order. Sometimes this means you need to wait a little for your order, but totally worth it in my opinion.

We love this family owned restaurant and miss having them in our town. Now its a destination meal for us.
