Not safe for celiacs!! They say they know about celiac, but I got glutened, hard core. The food is great, so that’s sad (I went many times before my diagnosis) but I will not be back. They do not care about being careful, cross contamination, anything.

I had a great experience here. I got avocado toast on gf bread and a side of fruit. Their fries and potatoes are fried with other gluten items so I had to substitute. When I asked for gf bread I began to explain to toast it separately. Before I could finish, my waitress goes prepare in a separate area and change gloves. This was reassuring

This place is not safe for celiacs. Don't believe their menu or servers. I had an omelette and specified that I'm celiac. He told me I couldn't have potatoes because of the shared fryer, so I got salad on the side instead. So he clearly has some knowledge, but I'm not sure he told the kitchen, because when my omelette came, it had multiple pieces of fried potatoes in it.

Service was good. I’ve been there multiple times with no problems. However, the last time I went they gave me my food and what I had ordered came with a side salad. The dressing was already drizzled over it and I didn’t touch it till I was home and discovered there were 2 croutons in it!!!! So not ok.

In the past, they seemed to take celiac disease and safety precautions seriously. However, today, my daughter found several croutons in her salad.

I really don’t think this restaurant is safe for celiacs. My guess is they may be too busy to keep things separate as I have been glutened here twice. The second time I ate here (I figured I’d be more diligent/clear with the server), they served me a plate with a full piece of bread on it.

Waitress knew what celiac was and was able to guide us about our questions. They have a GF menu and vegetarian menu. I had avocado toast and it was yummy. I would definitely recommend it. Why not 5 stars? It's not a dedicated facility.
Delicious menu. Gf tacos and burgers. I had a really yummy cottage pie. Very flavorful, a little salty.
My Celiac son absolutely loves this place. He’s eaten here on many occasions and has never gotten sick. Today when I moved him out of Montclair State for winter break, I finally got to try Sweet Basil’s for breakfast. I had the Mexican omelet with fantastic home fries and excellent coffee. All four in our party were very happy with their meals. Our waiter was well versed in gluten free food safety, reminding my son the home fries aren’t GF, and offering him fresh fruit instead. Good food, service and prices... and totally Celiac safe.

Terrible service!! No one smiled or said hello. There isn't a place to stand when order take out. The staff wasn't friendly at all. My food was good.
I will never go there again and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone!!
Gluten free menu check, good dairy free options too. glutinous hubby happy - he said burger was excellent. Chef owner very knowledgeable about Celiac.

Many gf options!! Separate menu
One of my "favorites" safe for celiac. The owners Al and Mary understand the necessity of food preparation to prevent cross contamination. The staff is well versed on menu choices for gluten allergy and celiac. Great atmosphere, great food, great vibe!

Super accommodating & safe. Nice atmosphere & excellent service. Separate toaster. Owner/chef's (?) sister has celiac, so they are knowledgeable and careful.
