Our experience was a mixed bag. My wife was very clear about needing to make sure she got her meal without any gluten and it is what they promised but it became clear really quickly after we left that that her filet mignon was prepared with something that contained a good amount of gluten. It wrecked our anniversary night and although I personally found the fish I had amazing the way the food was handled and the general lack of attentiveness to details I expect for this price made it a place I would avoid if you have anybody in your party with gluten sensitivities.

We had a very nice day experience here. As soon as I asked about gluten-free items the waitress pulled a folded paper out of her notepad and was able to tell me everything that was gluten-free. It is a small restaurant and I felt comfortable with their attention to detail. We enjoyed the fish stew in the smoked tenderloin as well as a flourless chocolate dessert

The staff and chef went above and beyond to accommodate our amazing gf dinner. My son and I have Celiac and felt completely at ease with the modifications they suggested to make our meals completely safe. Everything is made to order with the freshest ingredients. The most delicious meal we have had in Sanibel, don’t miss out!

Went for lunch, so the menu was somewhat limited. The server was very knowledgeable but didn't have a special GF menu and there was no dedicated space for anything GF. I had a very good chicken salad. The name "café" threw me off. I expected a low key place, but it's rather nice inside - table cloths, glassware, candles etc... Not a very kid friendly place. $14 for a kid's burger and fries (which is really just a slider size). It was the same price as my salad. But presentation was lovely.
Food cooked fresh to order. Friendly and knowledgeable staff.
