Updated: they made us a gf menu. 😍
We went! Neither the employee I spoke with or the manager were there when we went. We had a good experience and didn’t get sick. There are a few things I’ve messaged the store owners about to improve the experience next time and I’ll update with their response.
Celiac kiddo experience:
The crew tried to help, but could only inform us of 2 options that were gf (gf cookies and cream and coffee and cream) and one “maybe” (matcha). I told them we needed to follow allergy protocols. My kid will be in pain and sick for days with any gluten. They were helpful. I did watch them make hers, they sprayed down the icecream surface before making it. They did forget to change gloves, but were kind about it when I requested that they do so (but I was nervous because she’d already touched the cups the cookies and cream were in).
The happy news is that my kid did not get sick at all! So we will be back!!!
Edit to add: when I bring my celiac child in for icecream I will update my review.
I just talked to an employee here about all of their allergy protocol. That employee also happens to have celiac disease. They says we are good here and I believe her.
Several flavors are gluten free and they have gluten free Oreos to make cookies and cream.
They use new utensils, wash hands, change gloves…
