Review for the casual bar:

Lovely location but very few truly gf offerings. The two salads that were listed as gf would have to have been altered (one to remove blue cheese the other to remove the dressing) so you end up with $25 plain side salads at the end. The potatos are floured and there are no dedicated deepfryer. The only thing I think I could have was a burger with a side salad if I wanted that. Unsure if burger patties were truly gf though re ingredients or if that should be double checked too.

They do know about cc, which is good but it definitely dwindles the number of food choices. Ended up just having a drink and going to eat somewhere else.

I had breakfast on a weekday while staying at this lovely, historic hotel. The view of the English Bay is beautiful. The server was helpful as I chose breakfast. When I ordered an omelet, which normally would come with potatoes, she noted a risk of cross-contamination for that item and suggested alternatives. I don’t recall whether the menu flagged gf items, but the server was prepared to guide me, and I appreciated that.

I had breakfast here and it was alright. The gf items are marked on the menu but there’s not too much selection and our waiter did not inspire confidence. He seemed stressed out and kind of dismissed me and my questions. Ultimately what I ate was not too high risk so I felt okay but I would try to find another option before coming here again. The food was just okay too.

They have quite a few options and a separate gf menu. No separate fryer but the side salad was quite good. I had a burger which was very good. We will probably go again if back in the area. A great view of English Bay if you sit near the windows.

Had both happy hour appetizers one evening and breakfast here. Beautiful views of English Bay and Celiac friendly, but my Omelette was watery, had no flavor and my fresh fruit lacked taste. Melon still had rinds on it. We also had nachos during happy hour which were pretty good considering we were in Vancouver and not Texas or California. Everyone who waited on us was very attentive and knowledgeable. Average food, great service. Would return and try some different menu items.

Great breakfast with amazing views of English Bay. The staff really know their menu. Was advised that they have separate gf toaster but only one fryer. Had good omelette and gf toast, was given fruit as substitute for the breakfast potatoes as they were flash fried. Would go again.

Had prime rib dinner without gravy. All their sauces and gravies seem to have gluten. Some items are cooked in their sauce and cannot be separated like the chicken I was going to order. The prime rib can be done without the gravy and Yorkshire pudding. The server thought I was weird for wanting "dry" prime rib but it was tasty on its own and cooked we'll and I didn't get sick. Had breakfast 3 days and they have GF items marked on the menu for breakfast but not for dinner (weird). They have GF toast. I had fried eggs and potatoes 2 days and an omelet the other day. Never felt sick. They suggested I order bacon instead of sausage because they couldn't guarantee the sausage was safe. Appreciated that they were looking out for me.
