Taco Temple

I ordered the carne asada tacos to go. The woman at the counter told me that their special sauce didn’t have gluten. From previous reviews I avoided it. The tacos were delicious and I didn’t get sick.

Very nice employees. The waitress that helped me made sure everything was gluten free and told me that the sauce had gluten so I didn’t use their special sauce. Ate the vegetable tacos that tasted great.

Some servers seem knowledgeable and some seem unsure about the gluten situation.

Eaten here a few times. Staff is somewhat knowledgeable about gf but make sure if you get tacos not to have the temple sauce as it contains gluten and only some of the workers were aware of it. Overall, delicious tacos though!

Food was delicious! But they definitely fry everything in the same fryer. I got the tostada and for sure got sick. To be fair, I did not make my celiac known to the servers so it’s my bad that I got sick.

The waitress argued with me over the dedicated fryer for the chips. They do not have one and the chips are not safe. She said I didn’t know what I was talking about, that it is ok that the battered food is fried in the same oil.

Excellent tacos! The only concern, my server said the chips were gluten free and from a dedicated fryer, and over heard a different server tell someone they are not. So to be safe l didn’t eat them.

Staff knew about Celiacs and watched the cook make my food. Have always loved this restaurant and happy I can still eat somethings.

This place is amazing. It was the only place in Cayucos that I could eat and it was delicious! I enjoyed a nice meal without feeling horrible afterwards! I’ll be going back!

Celiac friendly, knowledgeable staff and owner. GF entrees and substitutions.

Amazing selection of fresh seafood, all written on the specials board because it changes daily. I had grilled yellow tail, which was perfectly cooked and the hubby had a snapper ceviche, caught by the owner that morning! Doesn't get any fresher than that! Staff is knowledgable, told us the dishes were gluten free but the chipotle salsa contained flour. Portions are huge, with tacos filled with a lovely mixture of young greens.

Very large portions of food and excellent salsa bar. Knowledgeable staff. Majority of food other than burritos can be made gluten free. Chips are not GF.
